Abstract: An apparatus for breaking a bottle having opposite ends and a portion intermediate the ends, the apparatus comprising a pair of V-shaped walls having respective apexes extending transversely relative to each other for supporting the bottle only adjacent the ends of the bottle so that the intermediate portion of the bottle is unsupported, and a bottle breaking member movable toward the walls and the bottle so that the member strikes the unsupported portion of the bottle and breaks the bottle.
Abstract: A bottle breaking apparatus comprising a bottle breaking member including a plate, and a punch extending outwardly from the plate, a V-shaped wall for supporting a bottle opposite the punch, and a pneumatic assembly for moving the plate toward the bottle so that the punch shatters the bottle and the plate further breaks the bottle.
Abstract: A mounting arrangement for supporting a proximity sensing means such as a reed type proximity switch contiguous the outer peripheral surface of a fluid power cylinder, in which said fluid power cylinder is of the type comprising a cylinder body and a piston axially movable in said cylinder body, and in which said fluid power cylinder includes a pair of oppositely disposed end closure members respectively positioned at each of the respective opposite ends of said cylinder body and tie rod means connecting said oppositely disposed end closure members. The mounting arrangement comprises a sensing means support device adapted to be detachably mounted on the fluid power cylinder.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a fluid pressure operated cylinder assembly made up of an elongated barrel of a square shape in cross-section, and having a cylindrical bore extending therethrough defining longitudinally extending corners at spaced points around the bore. The elongated barrel has end faces at the opposite ends extending transversely with respect to the longitudinally extending corners and defining cylinder end planes bounding the opposite ends of the cylindrical bore. A cylinder head made of plastic and including an annular mounting ring molded therein is positioned entirely within the cylindrical bore adjacent one of the cylinder end planes. An end plate is secured in facial abutment with an end face and adjacent to the cylinder head by screws extending through the end plate and into the barrel corner.
