Patent number: 5863026Abstract: An improved vehicle ramp is formed to eliminate interference between the vehicle spoilers and the ramp by extending the ramp when assembled such that the ramp has a lesser angled or sloped inclined surface. The improved vehicle ramp is further formed to eliminate ramp sliding as the vehicle is driven onto and up the ramp. Finally, the improved vehicle ramp eliminates knifing into the ground under loading. The improved vehicle ramp includes a base ramp with a base plate under its vertical edge. The improved vehicle ramp further includes a ramp extension secured to the base of the base ramp incline, and a ramp transition secured between the ramp extension and base ramp for providing a lesser sloped incline with a gradual entrance angle. The ramp extension, ramp transition, and base plate from two improved vehicle ramps are packageable in a compact nature for shipping, display and storage.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1997Date of Patent: January 26, 1999Assignee: Ganeaux Industries, Inc.Inventors: Barry T. Patent number: 5324004Abstract: A vehicle ramp is formed as a unitary sheet metal member and has a inclined ramp portion provided with longitudinally spaced rows of stiffening bosses and a flat reinforcement area at a lower end of the ramp. A raised wheel rest portion has a generally flat bottom surface and is reinforced by a transverse projection which terminates at a pair of longitudinally extending side depression formed at the junction of the wheel rest portion and the ramp. A pair of raised rails extend completely along the sides of the ramp and wheel rest portion, and downwardly along the sides of an end wall which forms the elevating rear support portion of the ramp. The stiffening bosses are arranged in alternating rows of three and four bosses per row. A stop is formed at the junction of the wheel rest portion and the elevating support portion and has a rearwardly inclined transverse stiffening projection.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1993Date of Patent: June 28, 1994Assignee: Ganeaux Industries, Inc.Inventor: Robert K. Patent number: 4856747Abstract: A ratchet jack stand assembly intended for supporting a raised load is formed entirely of stamped steel components and is free of any spring-biased members. The assembly includes a base, a housing welded to the base, an elongated post slideably supported by the housing in an upright position, and a gravity-biased handle pivotally mounted on the housing. A plurality of inclined, longitudinally spaced notches are formed in the post and a saddle is welded to its upper end. A pair of inclined, horizontally spaced and aligned slots are formed in the housing. The gravity-biased handle has spaced upper and lower pins attached thereto, and is pivotally mounted on the housing by the lower pin.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1988Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Assignee: Ganeaux Industries, Inc.Inventor: David A. Patent number: 4762155Abstract: A kit and method for removing and disposing of oil from the crankcase of a vehicle includes an open top plastic support pan, and a plastic bag containing a predetermined quantity of granular clay. The bag is placed in the pan and the top thereof is folded over a top rim of the pan to expose the granular clay afterwhich the pan is placed beneath the drain of the crankcase. The oil flows into the clay and is absorbed thereby forming a moist granular material. The bag then is closed and secured by a usual twist tie wire. The bag is removed from the pan and deposited in a refuse container for subsequent transfer to a dump site. The used, collected oil is completely absorbed by the granular clay and is disposed of without harming the environment.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 1987Date of Patent: August 9, 1988Assignee: Ganeaux Industries, Inc.Inventor: David E.
