Abstract: A decorative light support assembly adapted to releasably support a decorative bulb and socket assembly in substantially fixed positional relation on a relatively smooth, substantially planar support surface, the assembly comprising a suction cup member, a socket support member, and means for attaching the suction cup member to the socket support member, the socket support member further comprising space-apart socket support arms adapted to maintain the decorative bulb and socket assembly in a preferred alignment with the socket support member.
Abstract: A decorative light shade assembly comprising first and second releasably engageable shade sections injection molded from a polymeric material. At least one of the shade sections further comprises means for receiving a decorative bulb and socket assembly and means for frictionally engaging the electrical conductor connected to the decorative bulb and socket assembly for suspending the decorative light shade from the decorative light string. The use of molded apertures for directing light outwardly from the subject decorative light shade is also disclosed.
Abstract: A decorative sconce assembly requiring no permanent wiring is adapted for use with decorative light strings having a plurality of bulb and socket assemblies connected to a common electrical conductor, said sconce assembly comprising a shade member, a socket support member adapted to slidably engage the shade member while maintaining a decorative bulb and socket assembly in fixed relation to the shade member, and members for attaching the decorative sconce assembly to the underlying support surface.
Abstract: A decorative light pedestal is provided that comprises a split base member, a circumferential support member extending outwardly from the base member and having an axial bore adapted to receive and maintain at least the socket portion of a decorative bulb and socket assembly therein, and a cover member adapted to releasably engage the base member for the purpose of adhesively securing the decorative light pedestal having a circumferential support member at least longitudinally coextensive with the overall length of a decorative bulb and socket assembly is also disclosed.
Abstract: A molded plastic hanger is disclosed that is useful for hanging decorative ornaments from the branches of a Christmas tree, wreath, or other similar support member. The subject hanger comprises means for releasably engaging a portion of the hanger around a portion of the decorative ornament and spaced apart means for separately releasably engaging the hanger around a support member. The hanger being further adapted to be engaged and disengaged from the support member by the application of a compressive force to opposed support arms extending between the means for confining the ornament and the means for engaging the support member.
Abstract: Decorative light holders for decorative light and bulb assemblies, comprising a socket support member projecting substantially perpendicularly from the base member to frictionally engage the socket of a decorative light, and an adhesive pad adapted to secure the rearwardly facing surface of the base member to a substantially planar underlying support surface.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for installing and displaying exterior decorative lighting on a roof structure. The apparatus comprises a face portion having an aperture for receiving a decorative light bulb or socket and a base portion that is inserted between adjoining layers of shingles or other building materials and is maintained there by frictional engagement until manually removed. One or more tabs are preferably provided on the base portion to enhance frictional engagement with the support surface. An annular collar with a tapered inside surface defining the aperture is provided to enhance frictional engagement between the face portion and the decorative bulb or socket.
Abstract: A decorative light holder comprising a base member, socket support members projecting substantially perpendicularly away from the base member, and an adhesive member adapted to secure the base member to a substantially planar support surface. The socket support member further comprises a pluralty of spaced apart socket support arms comprising facing surfaces adapted to provide frictional engagement with the outside surface of a decorative light socket.
Abstract: A decorative light pedestal adapted to receive and maintain the socket portion of a decorative bulb and socket assembly and bond said pedestal to a support surface, the pedestal comprising a circumferential socket support member, a base member defining a substantially planar mounting surface, and an adhesive means adapted to bond the mounting surface of the pedestal to the support surface.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for installing and displaying exterior decorative lighting on a roof structure. The apparatus comprises a generally L-shaped bracket having an aperture for receiving a decorative bulb which is then operatively coupled to a socket in a string of decorative lights. The bracket is installed by inserting its base between shingles or other overlapping layers of a roof structure, and is maintained there by frictional engagement until manually removed.
