Abstract: A carton with a self-locking end closure includes a pair of end flaps connected by fold lines to end walls, and a pair of side flaps connected by fold lines to sidewalls. The end flaps have tapered or notched side edges and an outer edge. The outer edge of each end flap includes two symmetrically positioned notches. Each end flap also includes a pair of locking tabs. The side flaps include a pair of side edges and an outer edge and a pair of hinged locking devices which are symmetrically positioned at predetermined distances from the outer edges. The locking devices include an ear or flap, a cut line defining the ear or flap, a hinge line along which the ear or flap rotates, and a tab adjacent the ear. The end flaps are foldable against the side flaps, permitting the locking tabs of the end flaps to engage the locking devices of the side flaps to lock the end closure of the carton.
Abstract: A pallet of lightweight corrugated paperboard includes spaced longitudinally extending members intersecting spaced laterally extending members by means of inter-engaging notches in alignment with the cross-members. Either of the longitudinally extending members and laterally extending members may have cutouts forming channels for receiving points for the tines of pallet lifting equipment. The lifting points for the tines are entirely unbroken horizontally extending panels with added support panels increasing the width of the lifting point. Each member is scored on only one side, and symmetrically folded inward to form a solid core of corrugated paperboard panels.
Abstract: The invention is a hexagonal garment box including a novel hanger apparatus formed by flaps of two opposing walls of said box. The hanger apparatus includes a hanger bar formed from a foldable flap, supported by a slot in an opposing wall of said box and another flap from the opposing wall which extends over the hanger bar to secure and hold any hangers placed between the two flaps in position within the garment box.
