Patents Assigned to GB Fermentation Industries, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4136201
Abstract: The production of a rennin of high milk coagulating activity and low proteolytic acitivity from a selected strain of Mucor miehei which is useful in cheese making.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 1977
Date of Patent: January 23, 1979

  • Patent number: 4101379
Abstract: A process for preparing complex enzymes capable of hydrolyzing bacterial mucus. A fermentation medium is inoculated with an appropriate bacterial species, fermentation of said medium is promoted while monitoring the development of complex enzymes in the fermentation medium and the fermentation is suddenly stopped when the activity of complex enzymes in the medium reaches its maximum. This process provides a reduction of viscosity of the fermentation must in the production of commercial enzymes and secondary metabolites.

  • Patent number: 4065580
Abstract: A lipolytic enzyme preparation having 1 part of lipase activity to from 1 to about 10 parts of esterase activity is obtained from Mucor miehei. The enzyme preparation can be recovered substantially free of Mucor miehei rennet, and is useful for treating various triglyceride fats to provide desirable flavors.
