Abstract: A pallet transport apparatus within a rack installation oriented orthogonally with a longitudinal x direction, a transverse z direction and a vertical y direction has a travel route in the x direction and in the z direction. In the apparatus, an x traveling mechanism/x wheel units and a z traveling mechanism/z wheel units are designed so as to be vertically moveable in the y direction mechanically independently of one another. The apparatus has an x lifting device for lifting the x traveling mechanism or of the x wheel units in the y direction, a z lifting device for lifting the z traveling mechanism or of the z wheel units, and a y lifting device for moving the pallet pickup unit. The x/z lifting devices can be activated in the y direction independently of one another and independently of the y lifting device.

  • Patent number: 6619465
Abstract: The invention relates to a switch for transport system, in particular for a gravity roller table, for deflecting of transport goods in a plane from a main conveyor to a lateral conveyor branching from the main conveyor, wherein the switch comprises a group of co-operating and in particular individually driven modules. Each module comprises a bearing block, a fork received in the bearing block rotatable around the vertical axis as well as a roller body, wherein the roller body is supported in the fork and rotatable around a horizontal axis and wherein the roller body co-forms the support for the transport goods. The switch can be transposed from the straight out position into the deflection post ion and vice versa by a corresponding swiveling of the forks and thereby also of the roller bodies, wherein the forks and therewith also the roller bodies are lifted by way of a lift mechanism into the deflection position relative to the straight out position.

  • Patent number: 5447224
Abstract: A kit for standardizing and forming a modular construction system for chain conveyors, accumulating chain conveyors and/or toothed belt conveyors. With the kit, which is a constructional unit, many different specifically designed systems can be mass produced since a conveyor is disassembled into subassemblies, subgroups and component parts, in which case it may be possible to combine subassemblies with one another so that the standardized program can meet many different customer-specific requirements.

  • Patent number: 4919256
Abstract: The invention relates to a loading roller conveyor with drive via intermediate rollers to convey and transport piece goods. An actuator is moved in response to a sensor activated by the piece goods, and intermediate rollers drive support rollers arranged at right angles to the direction of transportation. An actuation device, which is moved by a motor, is displaced between guide rollers and intermediate rollers in the direction of transportation, whereby the intermediate rollers, which are set in motion by the actuation device, are each mounted on a two-part lever joint and which, by way of a shaft shared with the guide roller, are swivel-mounted on two rails running in parallel with the frame, while the hinged shafts are mounted on the actuator with a certain degree of mobility.

  • Patent number: 4832559
Abstract: The invention relates to a loading and unloading station for commercial vehicles and containers consisting of a travelling unit, a roller conveyor or chain conveyor, and a transport conveyor, wherein, in accordance with the invention, the transport conveyor and the roller conveyor or chain conveyor are swivel-mounted on the travelling unit and are designed to slide in transverse direction and can be adjusted in transverse and vertical direction. In this case, the travelling unit can be mounted on a stationary or a supporting structure to move in the direction of transport and transversely thereto. The travelling unit may also be equipped with a lifting mechanism to adjust the height of the chain and transport conveyor. Furthermore, the transport conveyor may be provided with support rollers that run transversely to the direction of transport. Finally, a height equalizer may be mounted on the supporting structure.

  • Patent number: 4811830
Abstract: A sorting installation for piece goods to be stored in warehouses in which a large number of different types of goods have to be continuously conveyed to their assigned storage place. The goods which arrive in non-sorted condition must be controlled, sorted, registered and further conveyed to their ultimate destination in the warehouse. The sorting installation includes a main conveyor, a sorting station, and a delivery conveyor which are connected with each other by intermediate tracks in such a manner that the intermediate tracks upstream and downstream of the sorting station are constructed as gravity-roller-tracks while at least one distributor constructed as gravity-roller-track and adapted to be inclined in the transporting direction is arranged between the main conveyor and the sorting station.
