  • Patent number: 5300884
Abstract: A sensor for measuring the angular position of a rotor relative to a stator has firstly a rotor made of a magnetic material and including 2 p lobes, where p is an integer. A stator is positioned around the rotor. The stator is made of a magnetic material and includes a number of teeth equal to 2n.p, where n is the number of phases of the sensor. Each tooth is surrounded both by an excitation first winding and by reception second winding. The excitation windings are connected together in series and disposed on the teeth such that the windings on two circumferentially adjacent teeth produce magnetic flux in opposite directions. The set of said excitation windings are powered by an alternative current or voltage. The reception windings of the same phase and offset by 180 electrical degrees are connected together in series. The envelope of the signal at the terminals of each of the pairs of reception windings represent the angle of rotation of the rotor relative to the stator, to within a scaling factor.

  • Patent number: 5289093
Abstract: A method of preventing wheel spin or wheel locking on an electric traction vehicle whose traction transmission includes servo controlling of one or more control parameters of the motor(s) of the traction transmission to an input reference value. The method is such that the control parameter(s) obtained at the output from the servo control are permanently limited by ideal values for the control parameter(s), which ideal values are such as to make it possible to obtain an input reference value for the speed of rotation of the motor(s) equal to the real travel speed of the vehicle, referred to as the reference speed, in such a manner as to stabilize the torque transmitted by the motor(s) in the event of wheel spin or wheel locking.

  • Patent number: 5258589
Abstract: A circuit breaker includes an insulating casing, a stationary main contact, a stationary arcing contact. A moving main contact and a moving arcing contact constituted by a tube define a blast cylinder co-operating with a first fixed piston. A second piston secured to a moving assembly includes the tube and slides in a second stationary cylinder. The volume between the two cylinders is put into communication with a volume adjacent to the casing or with a volume inside the tube via openings. An inertial ring selectively closes off the openings by moving between first and second extreme positions, the first position being one in which the openings are open and corresponding to a rest position for the moving assembly, and the second position being one in which the openings are closed.
