A fluid communication system including restrictive orifices provides communication between upper and lower chambers of the cylinder so that, during upward or downward movement of the piston within the cylinder, fluid is forced to pass through the restrictive orifices to provide damping of oscillations, and thereby a firmer feel and more stable handling to the vehicle.
