Each of the at least two wiper arms is arranged in an elastically movable manner on the retaining portion and has a shaft portion and a ring portion, which forms a wiper lip or a part thereof, wherein the extent of the ring portion in the circumferential direction is greater than the extent of the shaft portion in the circumferential direction.

Abstract: A wiper for wiping a cosmetic applicator, having a first component, in particular a holding section, for fastening the wiper to a cosmetic reservoir, and at least two wiper arms arranged thereon and exhibiting wiping action. The invention aims to provide a wiper, in which the intensity of the wiping and the resistance with which the wiper opposes the withdrawal of the applicator and the actual applicator section are in a favourable ratio to one another, and an actuation from outside in order to achieve a change to the distal diameter of the wiper inside the applicator container is not necessary. Said aim is achieved in that at least one of the wiper arms is fastened by means of at least one hinge to the first component, in particular the holding section.

Abstract: An applicator, and in particular a lip applicator, for applying a cosmetic onto the skin, comprising a preferably elongate applicator body extending along a longitudinal applicator axis and a bristle-free jacket surface surrounding it which serves, at least in some sections, for applying and distributing the cosmetic on the skin, wherein the applicator body has several wings, characterized in that the wings distally each have a freely projecting end and the wings are, in their entirety, preferably disposed along an annular line and the wings form between them a mass storage unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a brush, particularly in the form of a mascara applicator, with bristles injection molded out of different injection molding compounds, using an injection mold that has a main cavity, which forms the bristle support, and secondary cavities branching off from this, with each secondary cavity forming a single bristle and with at least one first injection molding compound being injected into the main cavity, followed by a second injection molding compound in successive steps; at least one slider is inserted into the main cavity and closes part of the secondary cavities so that the first injection molding compound only travels into another part of the secondary cavities after which the slider is withdrawn and the second injection molding compound is injected so that it travels into the secondary cavities previously closed by the slider.

Abstract: A mascara brush with a core comprising at least two sections of wire twisted together along a wire core longitudinal axis and a set of bristles comprising bristles of plastic formed by filaments, which are respectively clamped between the two sections of wire and are formed at their free ends with a wedge-shaped bristle tip or without a wedge-shaped bristle tip. The mascara brush provides an increased storage capacity for the mascara composition to be applied with improved delivery of stored mascara composition to the lashes. This is achieved by the bristles being formed from a plastic material extruded into a fibre, to which outwardly protruding particles are added and/or which is provided with punctiform depressions (indentations), which roughen the bristle surface, wherein the bristles that have a wedge-shaped bristle tip at their free ends comprise at least one cut surface that forms a wedge and the surface roughness of which lies between 0.2 ?m and 6.3 ?m, in particular between 2.9 ?m and 6.3 ?m.

Abstract: A cosmetic applicator, in particular in the form of a mascara applicator with a core which has a border consisting of fingers that protrude from the core, preferably in the form of bristles. The aim of the invention is to provide a solution for a cosmetic applicator which exhibits an increased material storage capability without substantially impairing the other relevant application properties. This is achieved in that the border has adjacent fingers which are connected together by a flat element that integrally adjoins the circumferential casing surface of both fingers and the core and has a thickness in a direction perpendicular to the main surfaces of the flat element, said thickness being lower than the maximum diameter of each of the bristles which are thus connected.
