Patents Assigned to Gema AG
  • Patent number: 4196465
Abstract: An electrostatic coating gun in which there is mounted a high-voltage generator for powering charging electrodes arranged at the region of the gun muzzle. To improve maintenance of the high-voltage generator the latter is subdivided into modular-like circuit components which can be interconnected by means of detachable electrical connections and removably arranged in a chamber formed in the spray gun. The detachable electrical connections advantageously are in the form of plug connections and the chamber is preferably of elongate configuration and arranged parallel to the gun barrel in a gun body. The chamber can be closed at one end and at the other end can be closable by means of a cover.

  • Patent number: 4094654
Abstract: A cabin for an electrostatic powder coating installation comprising a filter communicating with an internal compartment or space of the cabin, the side of the filter facing away from such internal compartment being exposed to the action of a negative pressure. A cleaning device is operatively associated with the filter. The cleaning device and the filter are relatively movable with respect to one another. The filter is constructed as a rotatable filter drum arranged in a chamber bounding and connected with the internal compartment of the cabin. There also is provided a stationary suction nozzle spanning the filter drum along a generatrix or surface line, and the suction nozzle is connected via a separator with a suction blower.

  • Patent number: 4066041
Abstract: An apparatus for the electrostatic application of a coating material in the form of a liquid to articles or the like comprising a nozzle at the region of which there are provided at least two electrodes at which there is applied high-voltage of the same polarity but of different magnitude. The electrical field between the electrodes covers the nozzle opening in the form of a transverse field.

  • Patent number: 3970920
Abstract: A measuring arrangement for an apparatus for electrostatic coating of grounded objects for measuring the ground or earthing resistance thereof, and wherein the objects are moved past the apparatus. An electrode is arranged in front of the apparatus, viewed in the object conveying direction, and this electrode is intended to influence the electrical potential of the object without contacting the same. There is also provided a measuring circuit which is electrically coupled with such electrode or with an electrostatic or induction electrode also arranged in front of the apparatus.
