Patents Assigned to Georg Fischer Brugg - Oehler AG
  • Patent number: 4414050
Abstract: A method and apparatus for joining veneer strips with an adhesive string between the abutting edges of the veneer strips, which string forms loops between the edges of one side of the veneer, the string being pressed and cemented against the other side of the veneer. The loop is being made by lifting the adhesive string through the plane of movement of the veneer strips using a supply eye in front of a holding hook. Thereafter, the string is being hung into the holding hook by a swinging movement and a following return movement of the supply eye.

  • Patent number: 4286540
Abstract: Plates made of porous material are strengthened by impregnation with a hardening fluid. The plates are stacked, subjected to vacuum in a chamber and immersed in the treating fluid, and pressure is then exerted on the fluid. The apparatus includes a chamber which contains a body of the fluid and which can be made airtight by applying a cover. The cover carries a support frame which carries a stack of plates, the cover having a hoisting device to lower the frame and stack into the fluid. A vacuum source and pressure source are connected to the container through a control valve.

  • Patent number: 4212699
Abstract: A machine for edge-to-edge joining of planar sheets or strips of material into a board or ribbon of material includes an upper fixed press platen, a lower vertically movable platen, a plurality of rails between the two platens for curing glue used in the joining process, and a delivery table which is movable to and from a position between the platens. The delivery table is provided with grooves holding spacer members to maintain the strips in evenly spaced relationship. Glue is applied to the strips and they are placed on the table, and the table is then moved between the platens. The rails press the strips upwardly against the upper platen, and the lower platen is then moved upwardly to compress the strips, and is shiftable longitudinally to move them into abutting relationship. The initial spacing and subsequent abutment during the assembling and pressing prevent overlapping of the pieces during the joining process.
