  • Patent number: 11731852
Abstract: The invention relates to a winding machine (1). According to the invention a winding material supply guide (14) is guided for being displaced with a degree of freedom (19) relative to a frame (2) of the winding machine (1). When a winding material guiding structure (4) executes a compensating movement (23) along a degree of freedom (6) during the winding process due to an increase of the diameter of a wound package formed on a spindle (3), a corresponding movement of the winding material supply guide (14) along the degree of freedom (19) can be induced in a way such that a supply angle ? of the winding material (11) to the winding material guiding structure (4) does not change during the winding process.

  • Patent number: 10457518
Abstract: A winding machine (1) for a traversing application of a winding material (51) to a spool sleeve (27) comprises a spindle (8) which is supported for being rotated and for having a fixed axial position. The spindle (8) comprises an inner recess. The winding machine (1) comprises a drive driving the spindle (8) for a rotational movement and a traversing carriage (20). The traversing carriage (20) is supported on the spindle (8) for being movable with a traversing motion (18) in an axial direction relative to the spindle (8). A first coupling element serves for transmitting the rotational movement of the spindle (8) to the traversing carriage (20) and a second coupling element serves for transmitting the traversing motion (18) of the traversing carriage (20) to the spool sleeve (27). The winding machine (1) also comprises an actuation mechanism (30) executing the traversing motion (18).

  • Patent number: 9346651
Abstract: The invention relates to a winding machine, on which, in alternation, a wound package is wound in a winding position of a spindle, while at the same time a completely wound package is removed from another spindle. With winding machines according to the prior art, the completely wound package must be removed quickly before the other wound package has reached a critical diameter to avoid a collision of their lateral faces. According to the invention, a shifting device shifts the completely wound package before or during the winding process of the wound package such that the axial extensions of the wound packages have no overlap. The collision of the wound packages can thus be prevented as the diameter of the wound package increases, whereby a more compact design with a smaller spacing of the spindles is made possible and an operator has more time to remove the completely wound spool.

  • Publication number: 20130037647
Abstract: The invention relates to a winding machine. Winding material is continuously fed along feeding paths to two wound packages. A control signal is generated for actuating actuators. The actuators change the pressing force pressing a pressure roller at at least one wound package. The control signal depends on a tension of the winding material. In case that the tension of the winding material in a path to a wound package exceeds a predetermined tension the pressing force of the pressure roller at the associated wound package is increased. Accordingly the radius of the outer surface of the associated wound package is reduced. This reduction is intended for counteracting the undesired increase of the tension in the winding material.

  • Patent number: 8267343
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling a winding machine for winding a continuously fed winding material on bobbin tubes to wound packages. The winding machine comprises two driven spindles. A traversing device holds a traversing guide. The traversing guide is driven for a traversing movement, whereas the traversing device is driven for a changing movement in a changing direction transverse to the traversing movement. A control device controls both the traversing movement and the changing movement. The movement of said traversing device and said traversing guide is controlled for guiding the winding material from a package wound at a first spindle via a fixed transfer device to the second spindle. The winding material is caught by a catching device associated with the second spindle. The winding material is cut by a cutting device wherein the cutting movement is caused by a rotation of the second spindle.

  • Patent number: 5785265
Abstract: A winding apparatus and method for continuously winding yam onto a bobbin. The apparatus having a winding drum with winding spindles mounted thereon. The drum continuously rotates during the wind up process in which the package gets built up on the bobbin received on the winding spindle. A contact roller positioned upstream of the winding drum and contacting the bobbin and a drive for independently rotating the winding drum and the winding spindle with a sensors for sensing the respective rotational speed of the contact roller and the winding spindle. • Patent number: 5775628
Abstract: A material winding and cutting machine is capable of automatically winding and cutting specified lengths of a material formed on a removable workpiece. Winding spindles (10 and 11) are rotatably mounted to drum (4) and revolve with the rotation of the drum between a winding station and a doffing station. Tubes (20) and fixed to the spindles (10 and 11) to receive the material (13). The machine includes a brake (27) which stops rotation of the material (13) about a winding spindle (10) during the cutting operation. The brake assembly stops the winding spindle to provide for an accurate cutting of the material to a predetermined length. Since the material does not rotate about the winding spindle during the cutting operation, the winding spindle incorporates a force storage device (28) to provide the needed tension to the material for proper cutting.
