The bottom part (2) formed by a bottom frame (15) and a bottom plate (16) comprises at least two inwardly open and outwardly closed recesses (19) along each frame side (17, 18), said recesses having lateral boreholes extending parallel to the frame sides (17, 18) of the bottom frame (15). Said recesses (19) are used to receive molded parts (21) formed on the first and second sidewalls (3, 4), provided with lugs (22) extending parallel to the lower edges of the sidewalls (3, 4).

Abstract: A container for storage and transport of goods includes four sidewalls which surround a first planar bottom and have on their upper end a rim. A second bottom with a multiplicity of bottom ribs is connected to the first bottom by welding the bottom ribs of the second bottom with the first bottom. At least two opposite sidewalls of the container have each a projection which extends away from a sidewall and at a predetermined distance from the sidewall extends parallel to the sidewall in the direction of the bottom of the container. The projection has a horizontal end face which extends parallel to the area of the upper rim of the sidewall, with the horizontal end face extending at a level underneath the bottom plate of the first bottom.

The storage and transport container includes a removal opening (2) in at least one sidewall (1) which is closeable by way of a lid (3). Preferably, the lid (3) is of two-part construction made up of two lid elements (3a, 3b), wherein the two lid elements (3a, 3b) are swingably connected together by way of a hinge-like connection. This lid (3) can only be opened from the inside of the container. When the container is transported, the lid (3) is closed and cannot be opened or manipulated from the outside.
