Abstract: A neonate dummy make it possible to sense or measure a movement of the head of a neonate, the values of impacts applied to the thoracic part and the abdominal part (including the lumbar part) of the neonate, and the value or magnitude of the effect on the cervical vertebrae, as well as to clarify the mechanism of cervical disorder resulting from an impact in a car crash or the like. This neonate dummy includes a head part, a body part (including a lumbar part), arm parts and leg parts. A bar-shaped backbone member corresponding to the backbone of a neonate is provided in the body part (including a lumbar part), and a neck part is formed on an upper region of the backbone member. A triaxial acceleration sensor is provided on the centroidal position of the head part.
