    Abstract: A method of disposal of slurries of fine tailings material comprising construction of a bund, forming a first drainage means underneath said bund and over the area to be covered by said fine tailings adjacent said bund and over the face of the bund to be covered by said fine tailings, depositing the slurries of fine tailings in layers behind said bund and providing second drainage means between said layers in the region adjacent said bund.
