  • Patent number: 6183032
Abstract: The vehicle seating assembly includes a base frame, a seat frame slidably mounted on the frame they are both sliding and pivotably movement relative thereto, and a back frame mounted for pivotable movement with respect to both the seat frame and the base frame. The base frame is releasably secured to a motor vehicle through a releasable latching mechanisms. The back frame may be folded over the seat frame, and the seat assembly will then partially released from the vehicle and may be rotated about the forward latching mechanisms to a folded position. The forward latches may then be released to permit removal of the seat from the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5771815
Abstract: A collapsible table for use on motor vehicles such as conversion vans, motorhomes and other recreational vehicles. The collapsible table of the present invention is mounted to the floor of the vehicle and includes a lower frame, an intermediate frame pivotally attached to the lower frame, and an upper frame pivotally attached to the intermediate frame. Both the intermediate frame and the upper frame pivot between a folded position in which the frame is next to its adjacent frame and an extended position in which each frame is spaced from its adjacent frame. The collapsible table includes a latch mechanism for latching the frames in their folded or extended positions. Accordingly, a table surface attached to the upper frame can be placed in a lower position adjacent the floor, an intermediate positions, and a raised position.

  • Patent number: 5697662
Abstract: A seat support for a motor vehicle includes a mounting plate permanently secured to the floor of the vehicle and a riser releasingly mounted on the mounting plate. The plate and the riser have cooperating sliding surfaces wherein the riser is slidably supported for movement on the plate between released and latch positions. As the riser moves into the latched position, open-ended slots on feet extending from the riser engage pins on the plate, thereby securing the riser to the plate. Primary and secondary locking mechanisms lock the riser on the plate and tighten engagement between the riser and the plate. The locking mechanisms engage semi-resilient sleeves on the pins to prevent rattling.

  • Patent number: 5676418
Abstract: A converted passenger van has an aperture cut in a side body panel in which a bay window is installed. A shroud extends around the upper and forward edges of the aperture, and includes an active deflecting portion which extends outwardly from the side body panel and then inwardly over a portion of the window. The forward edge of the shroud deflects moisture entrained in the airstream created by the forward movement of the vehicle away from any discontinuities between the edge of the aperture and the frame holding the window, and the portion of the shroud extending along the upper edge of the aperture deflects water draining from the roof of the vehicle when the vehicle is parked away from any discontinuity between the upper edge of the window and the corresponding portion of the window frame.
