Abstract: An interactive, program-controlled, enterprise management system for selective access to operation, design, delivery and control of TCP/IP data over an interactive global communications network. The system comprises, for instance, a publisher module for creating content on the network including live events and uploading of video-on-demand programming; a single director module for controlling access to, and managing viewing of, the network content in real-time or live, including management of the live events with selective control over creation and management of slides, polling and on-line chat; an engineer module for controlling network infrastructure including encoders and media servers, real-time network status and access to any open trouble tickets on the network; and an administrator module for managing the viewer database, testing database, usage reports, billing and analytics.

Abstract: An article, integrated device, apparatus and a method for mounting a satellite antenna feed structure to an antenna reflector unit. The device comprises, in combination, a housing associated with the feed structure and a cup mounted to the antenna reflector unit. The housing includes a plurality of members projecting radially therefrom, the members being arranged and configured for cooperative engagement with slots correspondingly arranged and configured in the cup, a resilient gasket lining at least a bottom interior surface of the cup. Alternatively, the cup includes a plurality of inwardly projecting members arranged and configured for cooperative engagement with slots correspondingly arranged and configured in the housing.

Abstract: A distributed digital communications network and method for interactive communications, e.g., for cellular, wireless Internet access, digital television, and/or like multimedia services, is provided, that includes one or more global communications satellites positioned and adapted for receiving and relaying packet data communications encapsulating the interactive communications. One or more base station(s) are located in each of a plurality of selected remote geographic regions, and have mobile wireless links to a plurality of subscribers of communications services in the region. A plurality of satellite communications terminals is also provided for communicating with the satellite from the region. Each terminal is located in the selected remote geographic region and associated with one or more of the base stations. In addition, a plurality of user terminals are utilized, each located in the selected remote geographic region and associated with the base station(s) in the region.

Abstract: A mobile auxiliary communications facility for use with a satellite-equipped communications link and a gateway hub. The satellite-based communications link is adapted to provide one or more Internet Protocol (IP) communication pathways between a first location and a second location. The gateway hub, situated at the first location, is coupled to a terrestrial data network and also to a terrestrial telephonic network. The mobile auxiliary communications facility of the present invention includes a utilization mechanism for utilizing the IP communication pathways to implement one or more bi-directional telephonic communication links and one or more bi-directional data links between the first location and the second location. The mobile auxiliary communications facility is equipped with a conversion/deconversion mechanism and a bandwidth allocation, multiplexing and demultiplexing mechanism.

Abstract: A monitor and control system for satellite communication networks includes a hub computer terminal arranged in a network with a plurality of remote computer terminals to form a mesh communications network. The hub terminal provides frequency and time division multiplexing functions for transmitting and receiving monitor and control data packets to and from each remote terminal, and for utilizing frequencies already in use by the remote terminals without interfering with the communication of data between the remote terminals.
