Abstract: The present invention relates to stable polymer matrix compositions comprising high concentrations (from about 1.5% w/w to about 3.5% w/w) sodium hyaluronate obtained from a Streptococcus zooepidemicus source and a non-ionic polymer. The polymer matrix composition further comprises polyethylene glycol and methylparaben, and utilizes ingredients that are of pharmaceutical or compendial grade. The polymer matrix compositions may optionally comprise an active ingredient. The present polymer matrix compositions may be used in the treatment of wounds, burns, certain dermatological conditions, vaginal dryness, and in topical, transdermal delivery and sustained release of active ingredients.

Abstract: A topical composition includes a polymer matrix containing sodium hyaluronate and a nonionic polymer, the polymer matrix being suspended in a liquid medium; and a therapeutically effective amount of a nutraceutical entity dispersed in suspension within the polymer matrix, wherein the molar ratio of the sodium hyaluronate to the nonionic polymer is 1:0.5 to 4, the sodium hyaluronate being present in amounts of about 2.0% to about 3.5% by weight of the composition. Other topical compositions and uses thereof are disclosed.
Abstract: Condoms having an elastomeric layer and coating containing an anhydrous warming lubricant and at least one or more ingredients dispersed therein, the coating being disposed on one or both surfaces are provided. The ingredients disposed on the elastomeric layer can be solid particles or encapsulated ingredients that are insoluble in the anhydrous warming lubricant and soluble in water. Methods of producing and using these condoms are also provided.
