  • Patent number: 7744447
Abstract: An abrasive disc comprises a disc substrate having a peripheral portion, plural abrasive chips each having an abrasive layer on a metal piece and being arranged in the peripheral portion of the disc substrate with a predetermined space, a suspension plate placed between the disc substrate and abrasive chips, and an elastic sheet placed between the disc substrate and the suspension plate so as to isolate the disc substrate from the suspension plate in order to absorb mechanical shock generated in operation of the abrasive disc. The abrasive chips are fastened to the suspension plate. Each of the abrasive chips has abrasive surfaces including a top abrasive surface and peripheral surfaces and the outer peripheral portion and the inner peripheral portion are declined to the top surface.

  • Patent number: 7223161
Abstract: In a cutting apparatus having a circular blade with a dust discharging unit for, during cutting, discharging chips (dust) within a dust cover covering the circular blade, a pulley is fixed to an output shaft of a power source, and a flat belt for transmitting power to the dust discharging unit is engaged with the pulley. The pulley and the flat belt are covered with an inner cover within the dust cover. The inner cover has a through hole for allowing the output shaft to protrude the inner cover therethrough with a seal made of felt to prevent dust from entering the inside of the inner cover. A surface touching member is provided around an opening edge of the dust cover movable along an axial direction of the output shaft by spring-loading, which automatically reduces the gap between the dust cover and the object to prevent dust from being scattered.

  • Patent number: 6666286
Abstract: There is provided a fluid circulating apparatus for a drill that requires only a small amount of coolant, as a suspension is collected and reused. The apparatus (1) for use with a drill (2) includes a suspension collecting device (3) that collects a suspension derived from the coolant mixed with chippings (S) through cutting and drilling operations, a suspension filtering device that filters off the chippings included in the suspension, thereby making the resultant coolant to be stored in a reservoir (4a), and a coolant supplying means that supplies the coolant obtained by the suspension filtering device and stored in the reservoir to the bit. The suspension collecting device includes a vacuum pump used to collect the suspension from a water-receiving pad so provided as to surround a point to be drilled by changing a pressure in the reservoir to subatmospheric pressure.
