    Abstract: A component connector is positioned in downhole tool. The downhole component includes a bulkhead and a receiver positioned in a housing. The component connector includes a contact member positioned in the bulkhead and a connector member in a receiver of the downhole tool. The contact member has an elongate body with a coupling end and a contact end. The connector member has another elongate body having a coupler end and a receptacle end. The connector member has an engager positioned about an outer surface of the connector member to provide selective engagement with the receiver. The coupling end of the contact member and the coupler end of the connector member are connected to electronics in the housing and wherein the receptacle end of the contact member is shaped to electrically receive the contact end of the contact member whereby electronics in adjacent components of the downhole tool are electrically coupled.

    Abstract: An integrated tool processing system and a wellsite monitoring system for a wellsite. The integrated tool processing system includes a tool assembler, a tool lift, and a tool transporter. The tool assembler includes a tool conveyor and a gun builder. The tool lift is connected by a tool stager to the tool assembler. The tool lift includes a lift base to receive the downhole tool and a lift arm to lift the downhole tool. The tool transporter includes a vehicle and a boom for connection to the downhole tool. The vehicle and the boom carry the downhole tool into position for delivery at the wellsite. The wellsite monitoring system includes wellsite sensors to collect wellsite data, wellsite monitors to receive and analyze the wellsite data, and a central station to collect and further analyze the wellsite data and to operate the tool processing system based on the combined wellsite data.

The charge assembly is insertable into the outer housing, and comprises a charge tube to support shaped charges therein; a charge feedthru; and a receiver. The receiver is at an opposite end of the charge tube, and has a receptacle shaped to matingly receive the connection end of the charge connector and to engage the trigger whereby, upon insertion of the charge assembly into the outer housing, the receiver is oriented and communicatively secured to the detonator assembly.

The ball release includes a feeder to selectively and sequentially release the balls from the housing. The housing extension includes a hopper tube and a feed tube. The hopper tube has an inlet to receive the balls from the housing, the feed tube extending at an angle from the hopper tube. The feed tube has an exit a distance above the wellhead equipment to release the balls therethrough whereby the balls are dropped into and activates the wellsite equipment in the wellbore.

    Abstract: A detonation assembly of a perforating unit of a downhole tool is positionable in a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, and includes a charge assembly. The detonation assembly includes a detonator housing positionable in the perforating unit and having an uphole and downhole ends; uphole and downhole connections positioned at the uphole and downhole ends, respectively, of the detonator housing; a detonator positioned in the detonation housing; and a trigger positioned in the detonator housing. The trigger includes a detonation switch and a detonator contact. The detonation switch is communicatively coupled, when in use, between a remote actuator and the detonator contact. The detonator contact is positionable in the downhole connection, and has spring-loaded arms extending through openings in the downhole connection to urge electrical contact with the charge assembly whereby an electrical connection is maintained between the detonator and the charge assembly.
