Abstract: A child safety seat has a seat back with an upper end, a back side, and a front facing side. A harness system has a pair of safety straps each with a back portion on the back side and a shoulder strap portion on the front facing side. A router is on the back side and has a fixed upper guide, a fixed lower guide spaced below the upper guide, and a slider vertically movable therebetween. The back portions are routed from the respective shoulder strap portions through the slider, up to the upper guide, down to the lower guide, and back up to the slider. The slider is vertically adjustable between a raised position and a lowered position and determines the height of the shoulder strap portions.

Abstract: A child car seat has a substantially rigid seat shell with a seating surface side and configured with a seat bottom section, a seat back section, and two side wings laterally spaced apart and protruding forward relative to an upper region of the seat back section. A support layer of substantially rigid foam material is positioned over at least the seating surface side of the side wings. A body of compressible resilient foam material is adjacent the support layer on at least the side wings. The body has an outer surface that is substantially sealed. One or more air passages are in fluid communication between an interior within the outer surface of the body and the atmosphere.

Abstract: A mattress pad assembly for use with a child containment area is disclosed. The mattress pad assembly includes a mattress pad having a plurality of panels each of which is coupled to at least one other panel along a flexible seam, wherein the mattress pad is reconfigurable between a non-planar configuration and a planar configuration defined by the cooperation of the plurality of panels to form a flexible top surface and a substantially rigid bottom surface. The mattress pad assembly further includes a support assembly coupled to the bottom surface of the mattress pad when the mattress pad is in the planar configuration, the support assembly having one or more support connectors coupled to at least two of the plurality of panels, and a brace configured to removably cooperate with the one or more support connectors, wherein the brace is configured to engage each of the plurality of panels to prevent bending along the flexible seam.

Abstract: A child seat has a seat base with a seating surface, a front edge, and a back end. A back support surface of the child seat is generally inclined relative to the seating surface. A seat bight is formed at the juncture between the seating surface and the back support surface. The seat bight is adjustable between a first bight position spaced a first distance from the front edge of the seat base and a second bight position spaced a second distance from the front edge of the seat base. The second distance is less than the first distance. A seat back insert can be provided that is attachable to the seat base in one or more insert positions defining one or more of the bight positions. The insert can create the back support surface at one or more position relative to the front edge. The seat base can also have a back wall creating the back support surface further from the front edge when the insert is removed.

Abstract: A child swing has a frame with a base, a support extending up from the base, a hub carried by the support above the base, and a seat assembly having a swing arm with a seat carried at a lower end. The seat assembly moves in a swinging direction. The seat assembly is configured to be selectively removable from and connectable to the hub. The orientation of the seat assembly relative to the swinging direction is also selectively adjustable between a forward facing orientation and a side facing orientation.

Abstract: A foldable stroller chassis has left and right sides, a front end, and a rear end. The chassis has a chassis joint between the left and right sides, a front wheel section extending toward the front end, and a rear wheel section extending toward the rear end and coupled to the front wheel section at the chassis joint. The front and rear wheel sections are pivotable away from one another to an in-use configuration and toward one another to a folded configuration. A fold latch mechanism is positioned adjacent the chassis joint between the left and right sides and is reconfigurable between a latched condition securing the chassis in the in-use configuration and an unlatched configuration. A part of the mechanism is carried on the front wheel section and a part of the mechanism is carried on the rear wheel section.

Abstract: A child containment system includes a child containment structure that has a bottom and a perimeter wall surrounding the bottom; a bassinet that has an infant support surface and a surrounding wall around the support surface, the bassinet mounted to the child containment structure with the bottom panel elevated above the support surface; and an infant support unit that has a frame, a bed supported by the frame, and a connector structure positioned adjacent each opposed end of the infant support unit. In a first operational mode the infant support unit is removably mounted to the child containment structure with the bed overlying the support surface with each connector structure coupled to a corresponding portion of the perimeter wall. The frame is configured to support the bed above a rest surface in a second operational mode in which the infant support unit is detached from the child containment structure.

Abstract: A car seat has a base for placement on a vehicle seat and a seat shell attachable to and detachable from the base. A latch mechanism is biased to a latched arrangement attaching the shell to the base. A release actuator is connected to the latch mechanism and can move the latch mechanism to a released arrangement, detaching the shell from the base permitting its removal from the base. The shell can be optionally adjustable on the base between at least two different recline positions. The latch mechanism in the latched arrangement can then also retain the shell in one of the recline positions. A recline actuator can be connected to the latch mechanism and can move the latch mechanism allowing adjustment of the shell recline position but not permitting removal from the base.

Abstract: A foldable stroller has a frame assembly with a frame fold joint and is reconfigurable between an in-use configuration and a folded configuration. A child support structure is repositionable between a usable state on the frame assembly in the in-use configuration and an unusable state not suitable to support a child on the frame assembly. An interlock mechanism cooperates with the child support structure and is movable between a locked state preventing the frame assembly from being folded from the in-use configuration to the folded configuration and an unlocked state permitting the frame assembly to be folded. With the frame assembly in the in-use configuration and the child support structure on the frame assembly in the usable state, the interlock mechanism is retained in the locked state. The interlock mechanism is unlocked when the child support structure is moved to the unusable state.

Abstract: A fold joint for a stroller has a first latch part fixed to a first frame element and a second latch part fixed to a second frame element. The latch parts are pivotable relative to one another about a pivot axis between an in-use orientation and a folded orientation. A latch shuttle is movable between a latched position locking the latch parts in the in-use orientation and an unlatched position unlocking the latch parts. A latch pin is carried by the latch shuttle. A track on the first latch part has a fold portion and a latch portion. A slot on the second latch part aligns with the latch portion in the in-use orientation. The latch pin is captured within the track and slot. When the latch shuttle is moved to the unlatched position, the latch pin is moved along the latch portion to the fold portion of the track. When the latch parts are pivoted toward the folded orientation, the latch pin moves along the fold portion of the track.

Abstract: A baby crib includes a frame structure, a support base located at a bottom of the frame, the support base including at least one opening, and a cushion pad disposed on the support base, the cushion pad including at least one strap disposed at a position corresponding to the opening. The strap has a first end secured with the cushion pad, and a second end that is formed as a free end adapted to pass through the opening and detachably fasten with the frame structure via a fastener. As the cushion pad is securely held with the support base of the baby crib, injuries caused by accidental lift of the cushion pad can be prevented.

Abstract: A storage latch mechanism (160) is disclosed for a foldable stroller. The stroller has a frame assembly with a chassis (52) and a handle (54). The frame assembly is reconfigurable between an in-use configuration and a folded configuration and the handle (54) is movable between a normal use position and a stowed position relative to the chassis. The storage latch mechanism (160) has first and second storage latch parts carried on the frame assembly and which are latched to one another with the frame assembly in the folded configuration and which are unlatched from one another in the in-use configuration. Movement of the handle (54) to the stowed position frees the storage latch mechanism (160) to latch and movement of the handle from the stowed position to the normal use position unlatches the storage latch mechanism.

Abstract: A child restraint system has a bottom portion configured to rest on a dedicated seat of a vehicle. The bottom portion has a front end, a rear end, and a pair of sides. An anchor latch system is carried by the bottom portion and has two latch belts partially housed within the bottom portion. Each latch belt has an anchor end protruding rearward from and external to the bottom portion. An adjuster is exposed on at least one side or the front end of the bottom portion. The adjuster can be manipulated to selectively retract or pay out the two latch belts simultaneously. The adjuster can have an adjustment belt protruding from one side of the bottom portion. The adjuster can have a knob positioned on the front end, one side, or both sides of the bottom portion.

Abstract: A foldable stroller has a frame assembly with a fold joint, a fold joint, a handle push arm, a front leg with an upper end connected to the fold joint, a rear leg extending down from and pivotally connected to the fold joint, and a drive link. The drive link has a rear end pivotally coupled to the rear leg below the fold joint and a front end pivotally coupled to a lower end of the push arm. The frame assembly is reconfigurable between an unfolded and a folded configuration. In the folded configuration, the fold joint moves upward along the handle push arm. The rear end of the drive link and the rear leg are moved toward and lie closely adjacent the front leg and handle push arm. The frame assembly may automatically move to the folded and/or unfolded configuration. The foldable stroller may also stand upright in the folded configuration.

Abstract: A car seat is configured to rest on a vehicle seat and to support a child. The car seat has a shell with a front side, a rear side, a seat back end, a seat bottom end, and a seating surface with a seat back portion and a seat bottom portion. A first contact surface is defined on a part of the car seat facing generally opposite the seat bottom portion. Adapter bodies are carried on the car seat. Each adapter body defines a second contact surface and is movable between a stowed position in which the first contact surface is exposed and positioned to rest on the vehicle seat with the seating surface at a first incline and a deployed position in which second contact surfaces are exposed and positioned to rest on the vehicle seat with the seating surface at a second incline different than the first incline.

Abstract: A child car-seat has a seat portion moveable between a first configuration and a second configuration a first path for receiving a safety belt when the child car-seat is in the first configuration, and a second path for receiving the safety belt when the child car-seat is in the second configuration. The child car-seat is configured to provide an indication to a user which of the first path and the second path to use, dependent upon whether the child car-seat is in the first configuration or the second configuration.

Abstract: A harness system for a child seat has a shoulder strap, a chest clip, and a harness cover. The harness cover has an upper section coupled to the shoulder strap and positioned above the chest clip and a lower section coupled to the shoulder strap and positioned below the chest clip.

Abstract: A juvenile product includes a frame with a rail, the rail including first and second rail sections, a latch assembly coupling the first and second rail sections and configured to reside in a latched state for an in-use orientation of the rail, and an elastic bias element coupled to the first rail section or the second rail section and configured to be under tension in or near the in-use orientation such that the elastic bias element drives the rail away from the in-use orientation when the rail is near the in-use orientation with the latch assembly not in the latched state.

Abstract: A storage assembly has a panel on a structure and a receptacle with a storage space defined within a body. The panel has an inner surface and an outer surface. A slot is formed through the panel. A tab is attached to and extends from the body of the receptacle and terminates at a free end. A first fastener part is positioned near the slot on the inner surface of the panel and a second fastener part is coupled to the free end of the tab. The tab is extended through the slot and the second fastener part is detachably connected to the first fastener part to attach the receptacle to the panel.
