Abstract: A cabinet rail assembly includes a pair of cabinet rails, each of which is provided with a projection on the bottom edge of a front end portion that extends a predetermined distance below the bottom edge of the front end portion which is adapted to space the bottom edge of the cabinet rail by a pre-determined distance above a bottom member of the drawer opening. The projection on the front end of a left-hand cabinet rail is formed from a corresponding notch on the front end of a right-hand cabinet rail and vice versa.

Abstract: A drawer guide assembly for a movable structure such as a drawer in a furniture article, and more particularly to a new and improved drawer guide assembly which is concealed from view and allows for a wider and deeper drawer. The drawer guide assembly contains mirror image assemblies, each comprising a guide rail mountable to the interior of a furniture article in a generally horizontally disposed position and a pull-out rail mountable to the drawer, or other movable structure, and movable within the guide rail. Both the guide and pull-out rails are provided with one or more rotatable rollers mounted in fixed positions and upper and/or lower ledges which are in rolling contact with complementary rotatable rollers, thus enabling forward and rearward horizontal movement of the pull-out rail and carried structure on the fixed guide rail.

Abstract: A hinge for mounting a door on a furniture article frame includes a first hinge member adapted to be affixed to the furniture door and a first hinge arm segment pivoted to the first hinge member and having a first adjustment plate with an aperture and a second hinge member having a second hinge arm segment having a second adjustment plate with an aperture. Turning an adjustment screw connecting the adjustment plates to one another causes the second hinge arm segment to move relative to the first hinge arm segment in a direction perpendicular to the pivot axis and parallel to the door in a closed position thereof. A base plate adapted to be affixed to the furniture article frame by a fastening screw supports a movable plate formed on the second hinge member. Turning an eccentric mounted in the base plate causes the movable plate to be displaced on the base plate in a direction perpendicular to the pivot axis and perpendicular to the door in a closed position thereof.

The drawer slide comprises an upper horizontal shank, a lower horizontal shank, a vertical shank located between and connecting the horizontal shanks, and at least one vertical flange attached to an edge of the lower horizontal shank opposite its connection to the vertical shank, wherein at least one vertical flange is attached to the lower horizontal shank after being produced as a preformed, separate member.

Abstract: A hinge cup for mounting a hinge on a door of a furniture article, such as a desk of cabinet, which allows for an increased angular range of opening of the door relative to the door mounting frame of the furniture article. The hinge cup has a side defining a cut-away which is adjacent to a pivotal attachment of a hinge arm, wherein the cut-away receives the hinge arm in a fully open position thereby allowing an increased angular range of opening.

Abstract: A hinge for mounting a door on a furniture article frame, including a first hinge member adapted to be affixed to the furniture door and a first hinge arm segment having a rearward end portion pivoted to the first hinge member on a pivot axis. The first hinge arm segment includes a forward end portion on which is formed a first adjustment plate comprising two segments, the more forward segment forming a right angle with the more rearward segment and comprising an aperture. The hinge also includes a second hinge member adapted to be fastened to the furniture article frame and second hinge arm segment having a rearward end portion extending from the second hinge member. The second hinge member and second hinge arm segment are formed as one piece. The second hinge arm segment has a forward end portion on which is formed a second adjustment plate comprising two segments, the more rearward segment comprising an aperture and forming a right angle with the more forward segment.

Abstract: An adjustable hinge for mounting a door on a frame of a furniture article includes a hinge arm with a first end portion articulated to the first hinge and with a second end portion on which is formed an adjustment member with a threaded adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with depending flanges, each having a recess with a forward end having an abutment surface and a rearward end having a hook. The hinge also includes a second hinge member having portions defining an adjustment screw opening and a pair of opposing lateral edge portions with upstanding flanges, each of which has a forward projection and a rearward projection. The rearward projection pivotably engages the hook of the recess in the depending flange of the adjustment member with the forward projection confronting the abutment surface of the recess of the depending ledge of the adjustment member.

Abstract: A self-positioning cabinet rail for a drawer guide for supporting a drawer in a drawer opening of a furniture article such as a cabinet includes a rail member with front and rear ends, upper and lower ledges, a cabinet rail roller and a projection on the front end of the rail member extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rail member. An extension member of a resilient or semiresilient material is disposed on the projection and extends below the bottom margin of the front end of the rail member to properly space the cabinet rail from the bottom of the drawer opening. The extension member also extends forward of the front margin of the front end of the rail member to provide an abutment surface or stop for the drawer front.

Abstract: A hanging file bar support assembly for a drawer includes at least one elongate rail with opposing ends adapted to be mounted on opposite walls of a drawer and at least one clip supported on the rail which has a clip body. The clip body is provided with a hook member extending from the front side of the clip body near an end of the clip body which engages a top edge of the rail and a detent member extending from its opposite end which engages a bottom edge of the rail. The clip body also has a cantilever member extending from its back side which is adapted to support an end of a hanging file bar.

Abstract: A bracket for mounting a drawer guide in a furniture article includes a plate member and one or more spring flanges disposed on the top surface of the plate member near the front end of the plate member to engage the drawer guide. One or more fasteners extends from the bottom surface of the plate member for attaching the bracket to the furniture article. A stop member extends from the top surface of the plate member and is disposed between the spring flanges to be received in an opening formed in a tongue portion of the drawer guide.

Abstract: An improved self mounting adjustable hinge which simplifies the pre-installation of a door on a frame resulting in greater efficiency and reduced costs associated with the production of furniture articles such as cabinets, desks and the like. The improved adjustable hinge includes a hinge cup mountable to a door, a hinge arm connected at one end to the hinge cup and a hinge plate connected to the other end of the hinge arm which includes a substantially D-shaped opening for mounting the hinge plate to the frame and securing the door to the frame. The D-shaped opening in the hinge plate is specifically dimensioned to allow a head of a pre-installed fastening screw to pass through the opening only when the hinge plate is tilted relative to the screw head.

Abstract: A drawer guide support bracket permits use of a standard length drawer guide in a furniture article, such as a cabinet, and provides a simple and efficient method of securely attaching the support bracket to a face frame member of the cabinet. The support bracket includes a bracket body having a drawer guide receiving portion and a fastening structure for securing the bracket to the face frame member and supporting the drawer guide thereon without decreasing the space needed to accommodate a standard length drawer guide. The support bracket includes a cut-away section within the bracket body for eliminating the interposing thickness of the bracket body between the supported drawer guide and the surface of the face frame member to which the bracket is secured. In another embodiment, the subject invention includes a staple-like support bracket in which the tongue portion of a drawer guide is strapped directly against the inside surface of a rear face frame member by the staple-like support bracket.
