Patent number: 10946398Abstract: The invention relates to a hose end sprayer configured for connecting to a hose and at least one container. The hose end sprayer includes a main housing sub-assembly having a main housing bore, a flow tube assembly and a nozzle. The flow tube assembly is disposed within the main housing bore and slideably displaceable relative thereto between a first position allowing delivery of neither of the first substance and the second substance through the main bore outlet, and a second position allowing delivery of a mixture of the first and second substances through the main bore outlet. The nozzle includes an interference member configured to selectively interfere with the downstream end of the flow tube assembly when the flow tube assembly is in the second position.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2018Date of Patent: March 16, 2021Assignee: GREEN GARDEN PRODUCTS COMPANY, LLCInventors: Mark T. Patent number: 8434699Abstract: Safety features in and for hose-end sprayer bottles. In a first safety arrangement, there is ensured a more hindered transition of a spool (e.g., product/carrier spool) or adjuster from a first setting to a second setting than from the second setting to the first setting, wherein in the first setting no carrier stream is admitted through the sprayer and in the second setting solely a carrier stream is admitted through the sprayer. In a second safety arrangement, there is arrested displacement of a container interface (e.g., bottle swivel) from a second (essentially advanced) position towards a first (essentially initial) position upon the container interface displacing from the first position to the second position.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2011Date of Patent: May 7, 2013Assignee: Green Garden Products CompanyInventor: Wayne C. Patent number: 6749133Abstract: A substance delivery apparatus, such as a spraying apparatus, that includes an adjustment element for regulating the flow of at least one substance between at least one inlet and at least one outlet. The adjustment element is displaceable between a first position, corresponding to a first delivery condition of the at least one substance, and a second position, corresponding to a second delivery condition of the at least one substance, and the adjustment element comprises at least one sealing element for facilitating airtight fluid communication in association with at least one of the first and second delivery conditions.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2000Date of Patent: June 15, 2004Assignee: Green Garden Products CompanyInventors: Craig S. Patent number: 6425534Abstract: A sprayer head is provided for attachment to a container containing a chemical product to be diluted by a carrier stream. The sprayer head includes a hose attachment member having structure for attaching the sprayer head to a source of the carrier stream. The sprayer head also includes a cap member, including structure for attaching the sprayer head to the container and a control mechanism movably connected to the cap member for controlling fluid communication between the cap member and the container. The control mechanism can be either reciprocated or rotated so that the sprayer head can be used either to spray a low viscosity liquid product in varying dilutions or to dilute and spray a mixture of high viscosity liquid, gelatinous or powdered product and carrier stream fluid. The control mechanism includes a seal member having product apertures of increasing sizes for controlling the varying dilutions.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 1999Date of Patent: July 30, 2002Assignee: Green Garden Products CompanyInventors: Craig S.
