Patents Assigned to GREENHOUSE HVAC LLC
  • Publication number: 20200000045
Abstract: A growing system is equipped with a mixing box that features a PLC-controlled cooling coil and a heating coil in series. Gaseous inputs include air and CO2. The coils facilitate condensation and maintain relative humidity and temperature in an acceptable range. An absorption unit or other chilled liquid source supplies chilled liquid for the cooling coil. Engine or boiler combustion provides hot liquid to the heating coil and CO2-containing exhaust. Condensate is collected for reuse. The output to a growing space is a temperate low relative humidity CO2-enriched stream optimal for plant health.

  • Patent number: 10405501
Abstract: A growing system (e.g., greenhouse) is equipped with a mixing box that features a PLC-controlled cooling coil and a heating coil in series. PLC regulated inputs include air and CO2-containing exhaust. The cooling coils in series facilitate condensation to maintain relative humidity in an acceptable range. Substantial cooling is necessary to achieve sufficient condensation and temperature reduction. Condensate is collected for reuse. The heating coil heats cooled CO2-enriched air to an acceptable temperature for plant health. The output is a temperate low relative humidity CO2-enriched stream optimal for plant health.

  • Patent number: 10165734
Abstract: A growing system (e.g., greenhouse) is equipped with a mixing box that features a pair of PLC-controlled cooling coils and a heating coil in series. PLC regulated inputs include air and CO2-containing exhaust. The cooling coils in series facilitate condensation to maintain relative humidity in an acceptable range. At least two stages of cooling are necessary to achieve sufficient condensation and temperature reduction. Condensate is collected for reuse. The heating coil heats cooled CO2-enriched air to an acceptable temperature for plant health. The output is a temperate low relative humidity CO2-enriched stream optimal for plant health.

  • Publication number: 20150351325
Abstract: An efficient scalable networkable grow light system ensures that a DLI suitable for optimal plant growth without causing heat stress is met by selectively illuminating lighting elements of determined wavelengths, and adjusting intensity of the lighting elements, and adjusting the height of an assembly containing the lighting elements, if sensed ambient light is inadequate to meet the DLI. A hoist adjusts height to provide full illumination without causing heat stress, while reducing inefficiency due to excessive distance. If sensed ambient lighting is sufficient to meet the DLI, supplemental lighting is not activated.
