Abstract: Systems and related methods facilitating payments with a mobile device are discussed herein. Circuitry in a networked-based central system, which may be a promotional system or payment system, may be configured to receive payment information from a consumer device. The consumer device may include circuitry configured to receive wallet identifying data from the central system. The wallet identification data may be used to secure messages between the consumer device and another device, such as a merchant device, over a wireless link. In some embodiments, the consumer device may receive promotional offers, such as deal vouchers or rewards, and make payments to the other device via the wireless link.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products for predicting consumer behavior. In one embodiment a method is provided comprising automatically creating a link graph comprising nodes representing webpages, links representing hyperlinks, and weights for each link representing a number of times a hyperlink associated with the respective link redirected the a user devices from a webpage associated with a first node connected to the link to a webpage associated with a second node connected to the link; and determining based on the link graph a programmatically expected path for a particular user, wherein the programmatically expected path identifies, at least, two or more webpages that the particular user is programmatically expected to visit and specifying a programmatically expected order at which the particular user will visit the webpages.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems, methods and computer readable media for facilitating delivery of a digital notification of a physical product to inform a recipient of the identity of the physical product. A digital notification may inform the recipient of the identity of a physical product ordered for the recipient by a sender. A digital unwrapping trigger may be utilized to ensure that the recipient is authorized to view the identity of the digital product. For example, the digital notification may not identify the identity of the physical product until a particular date has passed (e.g., a holiday or birthday), until the recipient performs a certain task, or until the recipient meets a certain goal. In response to the trigger occurring, the digital notification may be enabled for viewing of the identity of the physical product. The physical delivery of the product may be coordinated with delivery of the digital notification.

Abstract: Various methods are provided for determining and displaying local content. One example method may comprise receiving input, at an interface of a global positioning system (GPS) enabled mobile device, to open a mobile application, and without any additional input, accessing a location service of the GPS enabled mobile device to determine a GPS location and a current time and automatically generating a query, identifying local content from a content index in accordance with an editing target, and upon determination that the number of articles specified by the editing target has not been met, climbing, by an editing algorithm, a place hierarchy to determine a larger geographic area in which to meet the editing target, the larger geographic area containing the location, and displaying the results, via an interface, on the GPS enabled mobile device.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems, methods and computer readable media for classification and tagging of textual data. An example method may include accessing a corpus comprising a plurality of documents, each document having one or more labels indicative of services offered by a merchant, generating a query based on extracted features and the documents, generating a precision score for at least a portion of the generated query and selecting a subset of the generated queries based on an assigned precision score satisfying a precision score threshold, the selected subset of the generated queries configured to provide an indication of one or more labels to be applied to machine readable text. A second example method, utilized for tagging machine readable text with unknown labels, may include assigning a label to textual portions of the machine readable text based on results of the application of the queries.

Abstract: Techniques for providing improved optical character recognition (OCR) for receipts are discussed herein. Some embodiments may provide for a system including one or more servers configured to perform receipt image cleanup, logo identification, and text extraction. The image cleanup may include transforming image data of the receipt by using image parameters values that optimize the logo identification, and performing logo identification using a comparison of the image data with training logos associated with merchants. When a merchant is identified, a second image clean up may be performed by using image parameter values optimized for text extraction. A receipt structure may be used to categorize the extracted text. Improved OCR accuracy is also achieved by applying on format rules of the receipt structure to the extracted text.

Abstract: The disclosure provides examples of methods, apparatuses, systems, and computer program products for implementing a search indexer. One example method includes receiving, by index workflow circuitry, a search index update indicator, causing, by the index workflow circuitry and in response to receiving the search index update indicator, index generation circuitry to retrieve data sets from a plurality of data sources, calculating a checksum for each of the data sets, comparing the checksum for each of the data sets to a set of search index metadata, in response to determining that at least one checksum for at least one of the data sets does not match a metadata checksum from the set of search index metadata, generating a set of search index data from the data set corresponding to the at least one checksum, generating a search index using at least the set of search index data, and transmitting the search index to a search service for use in responding to at least one search query.

Abstract: Techniques are described for providing location-based information and functionality to people and computing devices in various ways. In at least some situations, the techniques include enabling multiple people in a common geographic area to interact in various ways, such as via devices capable of communications (e.g., cellular telephones, computing devices with wired and/or wireless communications capabilities, etc.). Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer program product are provided to pair request data objects with network response assets and their related systems to allow for the efficient movement of network resources and other resources in high-volume network environments that feature distributed network response assets. In some example implementations, location information such as triangulated position information associated with one or more mobile devices, along with other system characteristics is used to identify optimized pairs of request objects and response assets, such that request parameters, such as position and time constraints, can be efficiently met.

Abstract: Techniques for providing proximity based messages are discussed herein. Some embodiments may include one or more servers configured to receive proximity message requests from a consumer device. The requests may include consumer device locations, which may be used by the one or more servers to generate a geofence set. Furthermore, the consumer device location may be used as a basis for selecting notification data relevant to the location. Both the geofence set and the notification data may be sent to the consumer device in a single proximity message response for local notification creation if the notification data can be collected within a maximum response time. The notification data may be provided via a push notification server asynchronously if the notification data cannot be collected within the maximum response time.

Users are able to purchase select individual merchandise items by performing a simplified action, such as a screen tap on a touchscreen device. Abstract: Embodiments provide computer apparatuses, computer systems and computer-executable methods for recommending a commercial item or entity to a consumer based on geographic zone data. The method includes receiving a first predetermined geographic zone, a first importance score associated with a consumer for the first predetermined geographic zone, and a second importance score associated with a commercial item or entity for the first predetermined geographic zone. The method also includes programmatically generating an overlap score based on the first and second importance scores, and programmatically generating a relevancy score based on the overlap score, the relevancy score indicating a probability that the commercial item or entity is of relevance to the consumer.
