Abstract: A collider mixer includes a collider mixer element of cylindrical shape. Partitions form cylindrical channels around the collider mixer element. An input port is coupled to a first channel and an output port is coupled to a last channel. Exactly one inter-partition passage is formed in each of the partitions and a mixing chamber with a cylindrical inner surface holds the mixer element such that outer edges of the partitions seal against the inner surface of the mixing chamber, forming the channels. Fluids enter the input port and splits. A first portion of the fluids flow one direction through each channel and a remaining second portion of the fluids flow in an opposite direction through the same channel. The first portion of the fluids and the second portion of the fluids meet and collide at the inter-partition passages, then pass through the inter-partition passage to an adjacent channel.

  • Publication number: 20150375986
Abstract: A dispensing system has a head assembly affixed to a mixing chamber. The head assembly is fluidly interfaced to a first rod seat and the second rod seat. The first rod has a first rod head and the second rod has a second rod head. Distal ends of both rods are interfaced to a system for moving. In a closed position, the first rod head seats in the first rod seat and the second rod head is seated in the second rod seat, blocking fluid communication between the first input port and the mixing chamber and between the second input port and the mixing chamber. In an open position, the first rod head is separated from the first rod seat and the second rod head is separated from the second rod placing the first input port and the second input port in fluid communication with the mixing chamber.

  • Patent number: 8978996
Abstract: A dual input valve includes a valve stem having an air valve that includes a captured o-ring held in a circumferential groove. A catalyst valve ball abuts the valve stem. A housing has a catalyst input port in fluid communication with a catalyst valve seat, an air input port in fluid communication with a air valve seat, a mixing area in fluid communication with the catalyst valve seat and the air valve seat, and an output port in fluid connection with the mixing area. A spring urges the catalyst valve ball, and hence, the valve stem towards a closed position in which the air valve seats against the air valve seat blocking flow of a air from the air input port into the mixing chamber and the catalyst valve ball seats against the catalyst valve seat blocking flow of catalyst from the catalyst input port into the mixing chamber.

Abstract: A dual input valve includes a valve stem having a compressed air valve that includes a captured o-ring held in a circumferential groove. A catalyst valve is also on the valve stem. The housing has a catalyst input port in fluid communication with a catalyst valve seat, a compressed air input port in fluid communication with a compressed air valve seat, a mixing area in fluid communication with the catalyst valve seat and the compressed air valve seat, and an output port in fluid connection with the mixing area. A spring urges the valve stem towards a closed position in which the compressed air valve closes against the compressed air valve seat blocking flow of a catalyst from the catalyst input port into the mixing chamber and the catalyst valve closes against the catalyst valve seat blocking flow of a catalyst from the catalyst input port into the mixing chamber.

  • Publication number: 20140263686
Abstract: A spray gun has a spray gun body with at least one fluid input port. A nozzle is removably affixed to the spray gun body and valves are in fluid communication between each of the at least one fluid input ports and the nozzle. A trigger is movably attached to the spray gun body and is operatively coupled to the valves such that operation of the trigger opens each of the valves and fluid flows from the at least one fluid input port through the valves to the nozzle. Included are at least two pairs of handle grips. Each of the at least two pairs of handle grips are of a different size, each size corresponding to a hand size, and one of the at least two pairs of handle grips is removable affixed to the spray gun body.

  • Publication number: 20140264126
Abstract: A reduced wear single input valve includes a valve stem that has a first end and a distal end, and a valve housing that has an input port and an output port. The valve stem pass through a seal interfaced to valve housing at the output port side. A valve seat is within the valve housing has one side in fluid communication with the output port and an opposing side in fluid communication with the input port. A ball is urged against the valve seat by a force of a resilient member, thereby preventing flow of fluid from the input port through the valve seat and to the output port until an opposing force is applied on the ball by the valve stem, thereby counteracting the force of the resilient member. The valve stem is isolated from a pressure from the input port while the ball is seated.

  • Publication number: 20130139682
Abstract: A single sided, dual plunger pump is disclosed for use pumping difficult working fluids, including fluids with high particulate content. Each plunger operates in the opposite state as the other, such that when one plunger is filling with fluid, the other is discharging, and so forth. This creates discharge flow that is much more stable than a pump using only a single plunger, without requiring two individual pumps to be connected together.
