Abstract: A brewing apparatus including a housing having a movable lid and a brewing area under the lid; a hot water heater connected to the housing; a water pump connected to the hot water heater; a controller coupled to the hot water heater and the pump; and a switch connected to the housing and adapted to be actuated by a user movable member. The switch is coupled to the controller. The controller is adapted to discontinue heating by the heater when the switch is moved to a deactuated position.

Abstract: A brewing apparatus, such as a coffeemaker, including a hot water heater; a first temperature sensor connected to the hot water heater; a second temperature sensor connected to either a cold water inlet to the heater or a hot water outlet from the heater; a pump connected to the cold water inlet for supplying water to the heater; and a controller coupled to the pump and the sensors. The pump is a variable speed pump. The controller is adapted to adjust the speed of the pump based upon signals from the sensors.

Abstract: A brewing apparatus including a housing having a movable lid; a water heater connected to the housing; a pod carrier removably connected to the housing; a seal connected to the lid for movement towards and away from a top side of the pod carrier as the lid is moved between an open position and a closed position; and a hot water discharge head connected to the lid for delivering hot water from the water heater in a direction towards the top side of the pod carrier when the lid is in its closed position. When the lid is in its closed position, the movable lid closes over the top side of the pod carrier and, the seal is adapted to be located against a perimeter side of the pod carrier for sealing along the perimeter side.
Abstract: My invention is a mixer and dispenser having a dispensing top with an outflow channel, an air vent, and an air vent valve that adjusts the vacuum inside the dispenser; a rotor attached to a battery powered motor; and two switches, one for operating automatically upon pouring and the other manually activated. The vacuum system controls the flow rate during pouring and the constant mixing disperses the ingredients so that the samples dispensed are representative of the original mixture.
Abstract: A garment drying apparatus includes a housing forming a base. A heater is mounted in the base for warming ambient air drawn into the base via a fan through openings formed in the base. A pair of air ducting walls are mounted in the base to direct a portion of the warm air in a first flow path and the remaining portion of the warm air in a second flow path. The flow paths are disposed in substantially diametrically opposed directions within the base. The housing further includes a top wall for covering the base. The top wall includes vent openings aligned with distal ends of the first and second flow paths. Garment support members are mounted on the top surface of the top wall and are pivotable between a first position where support is aligned substantially horizontally in a stowed position on the top wall and a second position where the support is substantially upright relative to the top wall.

Abstract: An electric fan having an electric motor and a fan wheel connected to the electric motor. The fan wheel has a hub and fan blades extending from the hub. The fan blades include a proximal section at the hub, a distal section and a middle section. The proximal section has a flat surface at a trailing edge of the blade. The trailing edge at the distal section is curved with an angle of curvature of about 10°. The trailing edge at the middle section is curved with an angle of curvature of about 36°. When the fan wheel is rotated by the electric motor at a constant speed, air pushed by each of the fan blades is propelled at a substantially same velocity and direction from the blade measured across a radial length of the blade.
Abstract: A prewrapped gift package comprises a carton for holding the gift, wrapping paper overlying an outer surface of the carton, and a sleeve providing indicia describing the gift and affixed to a portion of the wrapping paper. A protective outer wrap surrounds the carton, wrapping paper and sleeve.
Abstract: An air deodorizing assembly including a frame having a liquid reservoir; a filter element connected to the frame; and a switch actuator connected to the frame. The switch actuator is adapted to cause an open electrical path to close when the frame is located proximate the open electrical path.
