    Abstract: A method and system for wireless communication are provided. The method for wireless communication comprises following steps. The master device encodes an information code sequence including a communication demand into a wake-up sequence and transmits the wake-up sequence to each slave device continuously within a preset time period. The slave device receives the wake-up sequence in the detecting period, decodes the wake-up sequence, judges the correlation between the at least two parts, determines whether to be waken-up according to a judging result and performs corresponding response according to the decoding information. When implementing the technical solution in this invention, the power consumption in the wireless communication is reduced, the encoding efficiency is enhanced and the communication process is simpler.

The method comprises: the master device generates a sequence code through a specific encoder and transmits the sequence code to each slave device continuously within a preset period according to the communication demand, wherein the specific encoder is a feedback shift register constructed by a specific polynomial, of which the coefficients and the order are in correlation with the communication demand while all of the coefficients and initial values are not equal to 0 at the same time; the preset period is greater than or equal to the sum of a sleeping period and a detecting period of the slave device, which constitutes a sleeping-and-waking cycle; the slave device receives a continuous section of the sequence code in the detecting period, decodes the sequence code through a decoder corresponding to the encoder, and performs corresponding operation according to the decoding result.

The propellant measurement system 10 of the present invention includes a pressurization tank 20 of a first volume V.sub.p for enclosing a pressurization gas at a first pressure P.sub.p. The propellent measurement system 10 further includes a propellant tank 40 of a second volumre for storing propellant matter at a second pressure P.sub.u, the first pressure P.sub.p being chosen to be larger than the second pressure P.sub.u. A valve apparatus 60 in communication with the pressurization and fuel tanks 20 and 40 allows a portion of the pressurization gas to flow into the fuel tank 40. Pressure gauges 65 and 70 sense changes in the first and second pressures P.sub.p and P.sub.u in response to the flowing of the pressurization gas.

    Abstract: A lightweight, low profile phased array antenna 10 is disclosed which includes an electromagnetically coupled integrated subarray in a multilayer structure with no vertical electrical connections and no phase shifters. The integrated subarray includes a first layer 11 having an array of patches 20 of electrically conductive material. A second layer 15, is provided, in parallel registration with the first layer 11, which includes an array of resonators 22, each resonator 22 being electromagnetically coupled to a corresponding patch 20 in the first layer 11. A third layer 19 is provided which is in parallel registration with the second layer 15. Electromagnetic couplers 24 and 34 in the second and third layers 15 and 19 couple energy received by resonators 22 in the second layer 15, to processing circuitry in the third layer 19. The antenna of the present invention is adapted for transmit and receive modes of operation.

    Abstract: A transponder that selectively provides both global and spot beam antenna coverage. The transponder comprises a channel amplifier and an antenna feed network that includes coupler means for coupling energy into a plurality of power distribution networks that feed a plurality of antenna radiating elements that form a beam that illuminates the desired coverage area. A variable power divider is coupled to the amplifier that variably couples power along two channel output paths. Each output path includes a matched bandpass filter and the second output path includes a phase delay circuit. Selective control of the ratio of the power coupled to the respective output paths, and the phase delay provided by the phase delay circuit, provides for selective coupling of the total power provided by the channel amplifier to either the full set, or a selected subset of the antenna elements which generates global and spot beams, respectively.
