Patents Assigned to Hag A/S
  • Patent number: 5904397
Abstract: A seating unit having two adjacent and mutually pivotal support elements 3, 4) pivotal between an initial position and a maximum flexed position. A spring element (12) is secured between the support elements (3, 4) and biases the support elements (3, 4) into the initial position. The spring element (12) comprises a base member (13) arranged in an area between the support elements (3, 4). At least one engagement element extends from the base member (13) into cavity (14, 15) in one of the support elements (3, 4) such that the support elements (3, 4) may pivot relative to each other. The engagement element is provided with a rigid stop (17, 17') projecting from the base member (13) to define the maximum flexed position of the support elements. The engagement element is further provided with a leaf spring (18, 18'; 68) to restore the support elements (3, 4) to their initial position.

  • Patent number: 4664445
Abstract: A tilting mechanism for a chair seat or the like of the kind where said tilting mechanism comprises a rigid metal plate being connected to a chair support via a retaining means and where said chair seat is pivotally connected to said tilting mechanism by the aid of said retaining means, first and second flexibly resilient and coaxially arranged members e.g., rubber pads or springs, being provided for cooperation with the metal plate and the attaching frame or the like of the chair seat and both said members being provided in front of and spaced from said retaining means so that said first member is compressed when the seat is tilted backwards and that said second flexibly resilient member is compressed when the seat is tilted forwards. Said members are precompressable by the aid of an adjusting member for the adjustment of the tilting rigidity. Said tilting mechanism is provided with locking means to enable locking the seat in a forward tilted, a neutral, or a backward tilted position.

  • Patent number: 4627602
Abstract: A mechanical lifting device, preferably for a chair seat, comprising two reciprocally telescoping parts, one of which is attached to a chair support, whereas the other part is attached to the chair seat, both parts being mutually spring loaded, a locking screw being pivoted to the first part inside one of its ends and revolving about the longitudinal axis of the part, that the second part comprises an outer locking tube coaxially surrounding a hollow pressure rod and a number of locking nuts, e.g. three, intended for engagement with the locking screw and provided inside the locking tube, the locking nuts being mutually spring loaded and when the pressure rod is actuated enabling the locking screw to turn relative to the locking nuts when they move in the longitudinal direction of the lifting device, thereby the mutual position of the two parts is also changed. When actuation of the pressure rod stops a locking engagement is achieved between locking nuts and locking screw by the aid of the mutual spring load.
