The confined component may be removably connected to the mating component. The primary beam may be elastically moveable relative to the mating component. The pin may be attached to the beam to move therewith between a flexed position and an original position. The pin may extend from a base end proximal to the primary beam to an outer end distal to the primary beam. The pin may be selectively received within the opening to constrain the primary beam relative to the mating component. The primary beam may be flexible to allow the pin to move inward to the flexed direction and return outward to the original position.

Abstract: An article-distribution system for a dishwasher is provided having a camera assembly directed at a rack assembly of the dishwasher, a display screen spaced apart from the rack assembly, and a controller in operative communication with the camera assembly and the display screen. The controller may be configured to direct a dishwasher coverage operation. The dishwasher coverage operation may include receiving an image of the rack assembly from the camera assembly, identifying an uncleanable article, presenting the image at the display screen, and overlaying an identifier onto the presentation of the image based on the identified uncleanable article. The step of identifying the uncleanable article may be based on the received image. The uncleanable article may be in in an uncleanable position within the rack assembly.

Abstract: Leak detection sensors, appliances configured to detect leaks and methods of detecting leaks are provided. The leak detection sensor is a self-powered leak detection sensor. The leak detection sensor includes a water-permeable medium and at least one electrochemical cell. The electrochemical cell can include a first electrode and a second electrode, and an electrolyte disposed between the electrodes, wherein in a dormant state, the electrolyte is in a solid, dry state. The electrochemical cell can enter an active state when exposed to water. The electrochemical cell can be configured to generate electrical power in the active state. The leak detection sensor can further include a peripheral electronic component configured to receive electrical power produced by the electrochemical cell. The self-powered leak detection sensor is configured for, and related methods include, detecting exposure to water in response to electrical energy generation of the electrochemical cell.

Abstract: A fluid circulation system of a washing machine appliance includes a wash tub configured for containing fluid during operation of the washing machine appliance and a drain pump positioned below the wash tub. The fluid circulation system also includes a hydraulically actuated diverter valve coupled to the drain pump. The diverter valve is in fluid communication with the drain pump and is downstream of the drain pump. The diverter valve is configured to selectively direct a flow of fluid from the drain pump to one of the wash tub or an outlet of the washing machine appliance.
