Abstract: A mirror and package combination includes a single sheet of material that is folded to produce multiple-ply edge protectors along opposite edges and opposite ends of the mirror and completely encloses the peripheral edge of the mirror frame normally associated with such mirror. The package is formed by producing a plurality of fold lines on flaps that extend from a main body of a sheet to produce multiple-ply thickness supports at opposite ends of the mirror and also multiple-ply thickness supports along opposite sides of the mirror.

Abstract: A mirror package for the display, handling and transporting of mirrors or like flat, rigid, yet relatively fragile, articles, being formed from a single blank of sheet material to which the mirror is rigidly and permanently affixed. The sheet material includes a central panel, larger in all directions than the mirror which is affixed thereto in spaced relation from all edges of the central panel, and forwardly folded flanges held rigidly in the forwardly folded relationship. The central panel is adapted to be severed by a consumer leaving the portion behind the mirror to function as a permanent backing for the mirror.
