Abstract: A tri-fold door system including a pair of spaced uprights defining a door opening, and a door including three vertically oriented panels namely, a distal panel, an intermediate panel and a proximal panel. These panels are hinged together for movement relative to one another from a door closed position wherein the panels are in the plane of the door opening to a door open position wherein the panels lie folded in close juxtaposition to each other. The proximal panel is hinged to a first one of the uprights defining the door opening. A track-way extends from the other one of the uprights part-way toward the first upright and is adapted to receive and guide the distal panel in a path lying in the plane of the door opening away from or toward the other one of the uprights as the door is being opened or closed respectively.
Abstract: Awning window assemblies for use in recreational vehicles, mobile homes and the like include an improved operator having twin pivoting operator arms with flexible extensions carrying free rolling balls at the distal ends thereof which move in a track on the awning window to effect pivoting of the latter. The window assembly includes a clamp ring integral with the skin of the vehicle body within which a fixed window frame is secured. The window frame is provided with improved window pane securements readily removable storm windows and screens.
Abstract: A recreational vehicle or trailer, the vehicle body including opposed sidewalls, wherein one of the sidewalls includes, in an upper region thereof, an elongated recess having an elongated mouth which opens to the exterior of the body. This recess extends in the fore and aft body direction and an elongated reel extends longitudinally within this recess and is mounted for rotation therein about its longitudinal axis. The reel is adapted to carry a length of awning material thereon. A rotating mechanism is provided for rotating said reel to effect wrapping or unwrapping of the awning material thereon to permit the awning material to be retracted into the recess or to be extended outwardly of the recess beyond the sidewall of the body. A door is also provided for closing the mouth of the recess when the awning material has been fully retracted into the recess.
Abstract: A window operator for awning windows includes rigid operating arms having balls mounted on the distal ends of the arms. These balls engage in and travel along a guide track which extends along the bottom edge of the awning window. The operator includes a housing which is hinged to a fixed portion of a window frame, the arms being mounted to the housing and a mechanism being provided to effect pivotal motion of the arms thereby to open or close the awning window.
