F. for 20 minutes for drying the surface coating of seasoning and spices. A glaze is spread on the seasoning- and spice-coated marinated chicken parts for sealing in moisture and enhancing achievement of desirable browning. The glazed chicken parts are roasted (baked) on trays in a convection oven at 250.degree. F. for 40 minutes, removed, and served as a succulent product having an appearance and taste which is competitive with that of rotisserie-broiled chicken.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 1995Date of Patent: July 11, 1995Assignee: Hardee's Food Systems, Inc.Inventors: John R. Patent number: 5037350Abstract: Ground beef at 28.degree.-31.degree. F. ground to pass through 3/32-1/8 inch grinder outlet openings is spread laterally and sheeted on a moving conveyor belt to a desired patty thickness with minimum pressure and working. The sheet passes under an endless track of transversally extending bars having a pattern of hexagonal cells cooperatively formed in their outer faces. The bars are mounted to chains which are entrained about sprockets that are driven to match the surface speed of the sheet conveyor. Intermediate the longitudinal extent of the lower run of the track of cutter bars, the cutters are gradually cammed down to abutment with the sheet conveyor, and gradually out of the sheet. At the downstream end, the hexagonal patties move over a fluidized bed-type transfer plate onto a take away conveyor, e.g. into a blast freezer, as a narrow selvage at both lateral margins drop away for recycling.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1984Date of Patent: August 6, 1991Assignee: Hardee's Food Systems, Inc.Inventors: Robert E. Patent number: 4558528Abstract: A consumer package which may be opened-up for removal of a contained product such as a child's meal, is provided with a built-in 3-D viewer feature preferably simulating a theater such as a motion picture theater or television viewing room. To that end, side-by-side viewing ports of two different optical characteristics are provided in one wall of the package for viewing a scene or series of scenes, which may be disposed internally of an opposite wall of the package. Each scene is printed in two, stereoptic views which are of the same optical characteristics as respective ones of the two viewing ports. These views are generally superimposed, but are slightly laterally out of registry by an amount sufficient to produce a simulation of three-dimensional imagery to a viewer who places the package to his or her face and views therein with both eyes, each looking through the respective viewing port at the respective view of the scene.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 1983Date of Patent: December 17, 1985Assignee: Hardee's Food Systems, Inc.Inventor: William D.
