    Abstract: A skylight assembly with head rail-mounted actuator includes a head rail having a shaft rotatably disposed therein. A battery-powered actuator is also disposed within the head rail and coupled to the shaft. The actuator is remotely operable to cause the shaft to rotate. As the shaft rotates, a collapsible shade connected to the shaft moves between an open configuration, wherein the shade is collapsed to allow sunlight to propagated through the skylight, and a closed configuration, wherein the shade is extended to cover the skylight.
