  • Patent number: 5783150
Abstract: A method of administration of vitamin C to ensure that a continuously-saturated level is produced in the body of a taker. A dose of about 500 mg taken approximately every 12 hours produces a continuously-detectable level of vitamin C in the urine of an average healthy person, which corresponds to a sufficiently high pool of ascorbic acid in the body to provide anti-oxidant protection. The minimum dosage and regimen found to be effective are respectively substantially higher than the U.S. recommended daily allowance and more frequent than administration rates previously used in clinical trials. Also claimed are kits that permit individuals to monitor for elevated urinary excretion of useful substances which are water soluble, excreted in urine, and non-toxic at physiologically beneficial levels, such that optimal dosages and regimens can be determined.

  • Patent number: 5687354
Abstract: A secure read only memory in which an external address of (n-m) bits is applied to an address controller which converts the external address into an n bit internal address which is applied to a read only memory to obtain data stored in the read only memory at the address locations. The address controller includes detector circuits for detecting improper accesses to the memory. In response to an improper access to the memory, the memory controller will produce an improper access signal which improper access signal is used to terminate operation of the system or to modify the address so that the data produced in response to the external address has essentially no directly reproducable relationship to the actual address of the memory location of the random access memory where the data is stored.

  • Patent number: 4426418
Abstract: An improved lubricated tissue consists of a sheet of absorbent paper and an array of regions of the absorbent paper impregnated with a lubricating material. The impregnated regions each have a size that is small in comparison to the size of the tissue. The array is arranged in a substantially uniform manner throughout said sheet. Thus, the regions of the array are at least substantially surrounded by absorbent paper free of lubricating materials.

  • Patent number: 4381240
Abstract: A swimming pool water conditioning system which incorporates a pump-fed, pool water filtration system; a hydrochloric acid-consuming electrolytic chlorine gas generator; and a manifold system to draw the chlorine gas into the flow through the filtration system, to serve in combination as a device to both safely chlorinate and pH-adjust the water in the swimming pool in a controlled manner, so that bacteria growth and the acid level in the pool can be controlled with a minimum of effort and expense.
