  • Patent number: 11336055
Abstract: An electrical connector housing is provided with at least one locking clip, which is mounted pivotably via a bearing pin and has a locking region and an actuation region. In order to reversibly lock the electrical connector housing to a mating electrical connector housing, the locking region engages overbearing journals integrally moulded on the mating electrical connector housing. The locking clip has a locking device or means for blocking the pivot movement of the locking clip. In this manner, an accidental release of the plug-in connection can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20220052491
Abstract: A heavy-duty plug-in connector has a ground terminal that can be conveniently assembled and can comprise the greatest possible number of electrical crimp plug-in contacts (4,5). For this purpose, ground plug-in contacts (4?, 5?), likewise of a crimping configuration, are fitted in formations (13, 13?, 23, 23?) of the contact carriers (1, 2) for electrical contacting with metallic protective earthing elements (3, 3?, 3?, 3?). For said contacting, the formations (13, 13?, 23, 23?) have a respective opening (130, 130?) or passage (230, 230?). In the formations (13, 13?, 23, 23?), not only ground plug-in contacts (4?, 5?) but also further plug-in contacts (4, 5) are arranged, so that the number of plug-in contacts (4, 5) of the plug-in connector is increased considerably.

  • Patent number: 11245227
Abstract: A plug connector having two housings and a locking clip and a catch for locking and unlocking the two housings is provided, wherein the locking clip is rotatably mounted on one of the two housings. The catch comprises at least one part and is arranged on the locking clip. It has a folded-out position and a folded-in position. In addition, the catch has at least one articulated connection and is formed in the shape of a Z-beam or Z-support. The catch prevents inadvertent opening and closing of the locking clip with simultaneously simple handling for the user. Methods for locking and unlocking a plug connection are also provided. The catch 2 when folded down (FIG. 1) blocks the locking clip 1 against movement to an unlocked position. The catch 2 when folded upward (FIG. 2) permits free motion of the locking clip 1 to the unlocked position to permit separation of the housings.

  • Publication number: 20220037835
Abstract: A high-current electrical connector (1) is codable for use with a certain mating electrical connector and flexibly and comfortably adaptable to the conditions of a tight installation space in which the high-current electrical connector is used. The insulating body (14) of the high-current electrical connector is retained on the pin contact (11) such that said insulating body can be rotated about the pin axis (S). Thus, the mating electrical connector (4) connected thereto, coded therefor and aligned therewith can be rotatably retained such that the angled cable outlet (42) of the mating electrical connector can be flexibly oriented within the installation space as required.

  • Publication number: 20210336380
Abstract: A contact carrier retains a crimp contact inserted therein at a central collar of the crimp contact in a particularly stable manner and at the same time absorb the highest possible plugging forces. The contact carrier has an insulating body and a retaining plate, which can be mounted thereon on the connection side. Furthermore, the contact carrier has at least one detent element, which, in the unassembled state, can assumed both a position locking the plug contact and a position releasing the plug contact. The detent element is part of the insulating body. The retaining plate also has at least one blocking element, which, in the assembled state, fixes the detent element in the position thereof locking the plug contact and thus prevents the transition of the detent element from the locking position into the releasing position.

Abstract: An electrical connector consists of a connector housing (10) and at least one electrical contact element (1). The connector housing (10) and/or the electrical contact element (1) have a lead content of <0.1 weight percent. A method for manufacturing a contact element from a blank which has a lead content of <0.1 weight percent, uses the following method steps: Loading the blank into a manufacturing machine; producing a pin region or a socket region for electrically contacting another, opposite contact element; producing a fixing region for fixing the contact element in an insulating body; producing a crimp region for electrically connecting a conductor to the contact element or finishing the crimp region if the blank has already been previously prepared on a different machine; and removing the finished contact element from the manufacturing machine.
