  • Patent number: 9809175
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for mounting an object within a vehicle are disclosed. One apparatus includes a base, a neck, and a pair of legs. The neck extends from the base, and has a length that is adjustable relative to the base. The legs extend from the base in substantially a same plane as the neck. Each leg has a holding portion configured to hold the object. The legs are rotatable relative to the base such that rotation of one leg causes rotation of the other leg. One method includes positioning the object adjacent a base of a mounting apparatus, adjusting a length of a neck of the apparatus to accommodate the object, and rotating a pair of legs of the apparatus such that holding portions on the legs hold the object, the pair of legs rotatable such that rotation of one leg causes rotation of the other leg.

  • Patent number: 9649989
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for mounting an object such as a keyboard within a vehicle are disclosed. One mounting system includes a keyboard and a mounting apparatus. The keyboard includes at least one aperture. The mounting apparatus includes a base, a slide plate, a latch, and a locking mechanism. The slide plate is coupled to the base and is slidable in a predetermined direction relative to the base. The latch is movable between an engaged position that prevents the slide plate from sliding relative to the base and a disengaged position that does not prevent the slide plate from sliding relative to the base. The locking mechanism is movable between a locked position in which the locking mechanism engages the at least one aperture to lock the keyboard to the slide plate and an unlocked position in which the locking mechanism does not engage the at least one aperture.

  • Patent number: 8905276
Abstract: Vehicle trunk mounting systems and methods are disclosed. A mounting system comprises a frame adapted to be secured within the trunk and a platform adapted to support a device thereon. The frame comprises a hinge portion and a guide portion. The platform is movably secured within the frame. The frame is rotatable around the hinge portion between a first position in which the platform is substantially horizontal and a second position in which the platform is substantially upright. The platform is slidable within the guide portion when the frame is in the first position. A mounting method comprises mounting the device on the platform, slidably repositioning the platform within the frame, and rotating the frame between the first position and the second position.
