Abstract: Apparatus and methods are described for a weapon simulator. An example weapon simulator includes a pressure piston, which is couplable to a weapon, which acts to open a breech, and which is seated in a pressure cylinder. An example pressure piston includes a slider. The slider holds a pressure intake opening open and keeps one or more pressure outlet openings closed when the breech block is in a front-most position. In addition, the slider keeps the pressure intake opening closed and holds the one or more pressure outlet opening open when the breech block is in a rear-most position.

Abstract: Catches and trigger apparatus for use with weapons are described. An example trigger apparatus for use with a firearm having a breech includes a latch moveable between a blocking position that blocks the breech and a non-blocking position that does not block the breech. The latch includes a sear arm, a spring assembly, and a securing element moveable between a first position and a second position. The spring assembly is to bias the securing element. In the first position, the securing element is positioned at a distance from the sear arm and a surface of a securing device in a securing position to enable the latch to be moved to the non-blocking position and the breech to retract relative to the weapon. In the second position, the securing element is positioned adjacent the sear arm via the breech and the surface of the securing device in the securing position to secure the latch in the blocking position.

Abstract: Trigger apparatus for use with firearms are described herein. An example electronic trigger apparatus described herein includes a first actuation drive to move an actuation member between an initial position and an operating position at which the actuating member is to activate a trigger lever of the firearm to discharge the firearm. A clutch is movable between a first position to operatively couple the first actuation drive to the actuation member and a second position to releasably couple the first actuation drive from the actuation member. A second actuation drive is operatively coupled to the actuation member and biases the actuation member to the initial position when the first actuation drive is releasably coupled from the actuating member via the clutch.

Abstract: Locking systems for use with firearms are described. An example locking system for use with a firearm includes a breechblock carrier and a lock spring mechanism that includes a piston. The breechblock carrier is configured to interaction with the piston. Additionally, the example locking system includes a first aperture. The piston is configured to expel fluid through the first aperture when the breechblock carrier retracts.

Abstract: Plastic magazines for use with firearms are described. An example plastic magazine for use with firearms includes a plurality of sidewalls along which cartridges are to be moved during a reloading of a firearm. Each of the plurality of sidewalls comprises a plastic material. Additionally, the example plastic magazine includes a metal coating adjacent a first surface of a first sidewall of the plurality of sidewalls, wherein the interior surface of the first sidewall is in a direction of fire.

Abstract: A firearm grip, a firearm grip construction set and related methods are disclosed. An example firearm grip includes a grip portion, which includes a wall covering at least a portion of a magazine and a plurality of ribs. The firearm grip also has a first grip shell having a plurality of first lateral edges, second grip shell having a plurality of second lateral edges, and a grip back having a top edge and a bottom edge. With the example firearm grip, at least one of the first grip shell or the second grip shell is exchangeable. In addition, at least one of the first grip shell, the second grip shell or the grip back is coupled to the grip portion with an undercut tongue and groove connection.

Abstract: Adjustable shoulder stock apparatus for use with firearms are described. An example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus for use with firearms includes a shoulder stock into which a connecting piece of the firearm is to be inserted. The connecting piece defines a plurality of boreholes. Additionally, the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a bolt having a end to be inserted in one of the plurality of boreholes to secure the shoulder stock relative to the connecting piece. Further the example adjustable shoulder stock apparatus includes a lever that defines a recess that is open toward a top of the firearm and is closed toward a bottom of the firearm. An opposite end of the bolt is positioned in the recess and coupled to the lever. The lever is to remove the bolt from the one of the plurality of boreholes. The lever comprises a projection to engage a wall of the shoulder stock to prevent movement of the lever past the wall.

Abstract: A firearm for firing electrically ignitable cartridges is described. An example firearm includes an electric circuit, a breech block, and a firing pin held in the breech block. The firing pin includes an ignition tip. Furthermore, the example firearm includes a contact lever, wherein movement of the contact lever is coupled to movement of the breech block. In addition, the contact lever is couplable to at least one of the electric circuit or the firing pin, and the contact lever interrupts electrical contact between the electric circuit and the firing pin when the breech block is open.

An example connecting pieces includes a first retaining element including a first receiving region configured to engage a corresponding first counterface of the rail. The example connecting piece also includes a second retaining element including a second receiving region configured to engage a corresponding second counterface of the rail. In addition, the example connecting piece includes a guide slot running diagonally to a longitudinal direction of the rail via which the first retaining element and the second retaining elements are coupled.

Abstract: Described herein are examples of firearms and firearm assemblies. In one example, a firearm assembly for use in a firearm including a breech block, includes safety equipment; a slide stop, wherein the slide stop is adjustable between an arresting position that locks the breech block and a position that does not lock the breech block; and a safety element adjustable relative to the slide stop between a neutral position and secured position, wherein in the secured position if the breech block exerts an operating force on the safety element and the safety element engages the safety equipment, the safety element fixes the slide stop in its arresting position.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a locked machine gun that includes a casing, a barrel, a locking breech mechanism, an abutment and a quick change attachment. The locking breech mechanism has at least one locking body. The abutment holds the locking body or locking bodies of the locked breech mechanism. The quick-change attachment is used to facilitate the removal of the barrel and insertion and attachment of a new barrel. A first part of the abutment remains on the casing when the barrel is being changed, and a second part of the abutment is firmly connected to the barrel. The quick-change attachment is equipped to bring about a separation between the first part of the abutment remaining with the casing and the barrel with the second part. Also, the second part of the abutment has a curved section which controls the engagement of the breech mechanism in the abutment when the breech mechanism closes.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for safety apparatuses for weapons. An example safety apparatus includes an interchangeable barrel and a safety mechanism. The safety mechanism can be moved between an open position that corresponds to an unlocked position and a closed position that corresponds to a locked position. The safety mechanism includes a feeder cover that is part of cartridge loading equipment that supplies cartridges to the weapon. The feeder cover includes a locking mechanism that engages with a barrel locking device and prevents the feeder cover from entering the closed position if the interchangeable barrel is not coupled to the weapon via the barrel locking device. Further, the unlocked position prevents the weapon from being fired and the locked position allows the weapon to be fired.

Abstract: Accessory rails for use with firearms are disclosed. An example rail includes a front sight arrangement that has a width less than the width of the rail, wherein the front sight arrangement is retractable and wherein the front sight arrangement is laterally adjustable. The example rail also includes a rear sight arrangement that has a width less than the width of the rail, wherein the rear sight arrangement is retractable and wherein the rear sight arrangement is laterally adjustable.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for an exchangeable barrel module for a firearm equipped with the same. An example firearm includes an exchangeable barrel module, which includes a barrel and a barrel jacket. The barrel module also includes a range finder, control electronics, a transmitter to transfer the result of the control electronics to a projectile, an operating element, and a power supply. Further, the barrel jacket holds the barrel and at least a portion of the range finder, the control electronics, the transmitter, the operating elements, or the power supply.

Abstract: Practice barrels for use with practice cartridges are described herein. An example practice device for use with self-loading grenade launchers includes a practice barrel having a practice cartridge chamber to receive a practice cartridge. A live cartridge does not correspond to the practice cartridge chamber. Additionally, the live cartridge is unable to be properly positioned within the practice barrel to prevent ignition of the live cartridge. Further, the practice cartridge chamber is cushioned to substantially absorb a breech energy to substantially prevent damage to the practice barrel.

Abstract: Machine guns having detachable barrels and methods of operating the same are disclosed. An illustrated example firearm includes a housing; a removable barrel; a latch to releasably secure the barrel in the housing, the latch having a released state and a secured state; and a carrying handle movable between a rest position and a carry position. The carrying handle cooperates with the latch such that the latch can only be moved into the released state to permit removal of the barrel when the carrying handle is at least substantially in the carry position.

Abstract: A hand guard system for use with a firearm is described. A holding unit for releasably coupling the hand guard system to a firearm includes a coupling element having an opening, a flange, and at least one coupling portion. The flange and the coupling portion form the opening so that the coupling element is slidably removable about the barrel of the firearm, and an inner surface of the coupling portion engages an outer surface of the barrel nut. The holding unit further includes a sleeve operatively coupled to the coupling element having an inner surface defining an opening so that the sleeve is slidably removable about the barrel of the firearm and the inner surface forms a shoulder and defines a groove distally located from the shoulder and sized to receive a snap ring. The snap ring retains the sleeve to the coupling element such that the shoulder and snap ring are located on opposite sides of the flange of the coupling element.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described for gas cylinder components for use with a firearm with a barrel. The gas cylinder component includes a reception bore for receiving the barrel. Additionally, the gas cylinder component includes a torque-proof fixture that is under pre-stressing, wherein the torque-proof fixture comprises one or more bores tangential to the barrel further including a pin to create spring pinning action. Further, the gas cylinder component includes a foresight that is rotatable around an axis, and a demountable clamping device that secures at least one position of the foresight. The gas cylinder component is under spring pre-stressing and is torque proof on the barrel. Additionally, the gas cylinder component is to lock on the barrel. Further, the engagement of the gas cylinder component on the barrel is to substantially prevent the rotation of the gas cylinder apparatus relative to an axis of the barrel.
