Patents Assigned to Heinrich Wunder GmbH & Co. KG
  • Patent number: 4635955
Abstract: A device for releasably holding the boot support of a cross-country ski binding against pivotal movement relative to the ski has a retainer which is mounted on two pairs of mutually inclined links. The lower ends of the links are pivoted to the ski and the upper ends of the links are pivoted to spaced-apart portions of the retainer so as to compel the latter to move along a path which is at least substantially parallel to the upper side of the ski between an operative front end position and an inoperative rear end or retracted position. The retainer can be moved between such positions by a combination of a link which is directly pivoted to the rear part of the retainer and a lever which is fulcrumed on the ski and whose forwardly extending arm is articulately connected to the rear end of the link. The rearwardly extending arm of the lever can be pivoted by hand or by the tip of a ski pole in order to move the retainer to the operative position.

  • Patent number: 4632419
Abstract: The ski binding comprises a toe iron 1 and a rear soleholding device 2. The toe iron is shiftable between a position for ski touring and a position for downhill skiing. A U-shaped bearing bracket 7 and a plug-in pivot 12 are provided. By the two legs 8 and 9 of the bearing bracket the pivot is spaced from the ski a distance which somewhat exceeds the thickness of the sole of the boot. As a result, the plug-in pivot 12 can be used as a holding-down member and as an abutment. The edge portion of the sole is adapted to extend under the plug-in pivot and to be forced against the plug-in pivot 12 by the rear soleholding device. The rear soleholding device comprises a holding-down member 3 for effecting a release in a vertical direction and also comprises a slide 5 for effecting a release in a lateral direction under an overload. In that position the ski binding is used as a downhill binding.

  • Patent number: 4498685
Abstract: A ski has a safety binding which includes a support for a ski boot. The support carries retainers for the toe and heel of the boot and is pivotable about an axis extending transversely of the ski so that the ski boot may be swung away from the ski during skiing. A brake for the ski is mounted on the support and is arranged to be kept in an inoperative or non-braking position by the pressure of the ski boot. The brake is resiliently urged towards its operative or braking position and automatically moves to this position when the pressure of the ski boot is released. The ski is thus braked regardless of whether the boot is removed from the binding intentionally or unintentionally.

  • Patent number: 4401247
Abstract: In a fastening device for supporting brackets or luggage racks for automotive vehicles, the tensioning screw which biases the clamping claw against the supporting foot and the roof gutter is overlapped by a protecting cap which is non-separably connected with the clamping claw. The protecting cap has a mounting aperture through which the tensioning screw can be actuated with a tool. The mounting aperture can be closed by a locking device which can be actuated by a key and closes the mounting aperture only in the locking position.

  • Patent number: 4381070
Abstract: The device for securing the hull of a watercraft and/or a sailboat mast comprises a locking bar the lower end of which has a hook, an annular eyelet or a crosshead by means of which the locking arm can be secured on a portion of the roof carrier which supports the hull of the watercraft and is secured to the roof of an automotive vehicle or on the sailboat mast which can be inserted between the roof and the roof carrier during transport. The upper end of the locking bar has a thread onto which can be screwed a flange or nut by means of which the hull of the watercraft or the sailboat mast can be securely clamped. The threadedly connectable flange or nut acts either upon the hull of the watercraft, e.g., a surfboard, or upon a portion of the roof carrier when the sailboat mast is secured by the locking bar. If this safety device is to be used in connection with the hull of a watercraft, it is necessary that the hull be provided with a through opening, for example, a daggerboard opening.
