Abstract: An adhesive cleaner having an adhesive roller with a tubular and cylindrical core, typically made of cardboard and is six inches or more in length. The roller further includes a plurality of elongated strips wherein each strip includes a backing and an adhesive coating on one side of the backing. Each strip is in the shape of a parallelogram and has a surface area substantially equal to or slightly greater than the outer peripheral surface area of the core. Each strip is successively wound in a spiral pattern around the core with the adhesive layer facing outwardly so that each strip forms a successive layer around the core which substantially covers the outer peripheral area of the core or the preceding layer.

  • Patent number: 6427278
Abstract: A lint roller assembly is disclosed having an elongated housing with a handle and a lint roller support section longitudinally adjacent the handle. The lint roller support section is substantially cylindrical in shape and has a radially recessed and circumferentially extending channel formed between its ends. This channel has a longitudinal length less than the longitudinal length of the lint roller support section. The lint roller assembly further includes a lint roller having a tubular cylindrical core and an adhesive sheet roll wound about the core. The core has a longitudinal length and inside diameter dimensioned to fit into the channel such that the lint roller is retained to the lint roller support section. The longitudinal length of the core, furthermore, is less than the longitudinal length of the adhesive roll.

  • Patent number: 6319478
Abstract: An air freshener and insect repellant having a housing with a wall section. An abrasive strip is secured to the wall section of the housing while a cedar block is movably mounted to the housing so that, upon movement of the cedar block relative to the housing, the abrasive strip abrades an outer surface of the cedar block. A resilient pad is also sandwiched in between the housing wall section and the abrasive strip.

  • Patent number: 6233854
Abstract: The present invention is a cover for an ironing board that includes a top sheet, a pad of substantially the same size as the top sheet attached to the bottom surface of the top sheet, and a skirt attached about the periphery of the top sheet. The skirt has at least one nose portion, at least two side portions extending rearwardly from the nose portion, and at least one heel portion extending rearwardly from the respective side portions. The skirt also has an adjustable draw cord housed within a hem formed within the skirt. Preferably, the draw cord exits adjacent the heel portion. The cover of the present invention also has at least one cinch that has a first and a second element. Each element has two ends. The respective first ends of the first element and second element are each attached to corresponding and opposing inner edges of the two side portions of the skirt.

  • Patent number: 6127014
Abstract: An adhesive roller construction particularly suited for a lint roller is disclosed having an elongated strip with a backing layer and an adhesive layer overlying one side of the backing strip. The strip is wound onto a tubular cylindrical roll or onto a spindle. A plurality of perforation lines extends between the sides of the strip at predetermined longitudinal intervals therealong so that the perforations define a plurality of longitudinally adjacent sheets along the strip with each sheet overlying one sheet and extending substantially one revolution around the roll. The predetermined intervals are selected such that each sheet is semi-randomly longer than, shorter than, or the same size as its underlying sheet within predefined limits.

  • Patent number: 6055695
Abstract: A lint roller assembly is disclosed for rotatably supporting a tubular and cylindrical adhesive lint remover roller. The assembly includes a pair of elongated housing parts which are substantially identical to each other. Each housing part includes an elongated handle section and a semi-cylindrical lint roller support section longitudinally adjacent the handle section. The lint roller support section has an outer diameter less than the diameter of the adhesive roller. The housing parts are secured together in a facing relationship by registering pins and sockets formed on the housing parts. In doing so, the lint roller support sections form a cylindrical lint roller support for the adhesive roller while the handle sections abut against each other to form a handle.

  • Patent number: 4361923
Abstract: A lint remover assembly consisting of an elongate handle support member having an adhesive tape roll sleeve-engaging roller cylinder in rotatable snap-lock engagement therewith so that the roller cylinder is fixed against axial displacement with respect to the handle support member but is selectively rotatable thereon. An adhesive tape roll sleeve assembly provided for selective slidable frictional covering engagement with the roller cylinder so as to be rotatable therewith and selectively slidably removable therefrom for replacement upon exhaustion of the adhesive tape provided thereon. A cylindrical cover member provided for selective rotative lock engagement with the end of the handle support member so as to selectively cover the roller cylinder and the adhesive tape roll sleeve assembly positioned thereon without engaging the roller cylinder or otherwise interfering with the operation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4062083
Abstract: A lineal slide retractable grooming brush consisting of a brush housing provided with a plurality of bristle openings in the bottom thereof and having a slide actuator control peg access slot along each side thereof. A bristle brush back plate member having a plurality of downwardly extending bristles is provided within the housing so that the bristles are in register with the bristle openings in the bottom of the brush housing. The bristle brush back plate member is provided with cam follower pins extending outwardly from each side thereof. A U-shaped slide actuator is slidably mounted within the brush housing so as to straddle the bristle brush back plate member in such a manner that the cam follower pins thereof slidably engage ramped cam grooves provided in the inside surface of the side walls of the slide actuator. The slide actuator is provided with control pegs which extend outwardly from the sides thereof through the control peg access slots provided in the sides of the brush housing.
