Patents Assigned to Helvoet Pharma Belgium N.V.
  • Patent number: 7097057
Abstract: The invention relates to a closure device for a vacuum sample collector, comprising an external cap (2), in a hard material, preferably a hard plastic component, with a top face (4) and a side skirt (5) surrounding the above, which may be connected to a sleeve-like opening section of the vacuum sample collector, and a sealing element (3) arranged on the container side of the external cap (2) made from an elastic material, preferably a soft synthetic component. The external cap (2) is turned inwards on its top face (4), and the section of the cap turned inwards forms a depression, the floor of which (10) has a turned-up section which faces outwards and which forms an essentially cylindrical projection (11), with a flat opening (12) and which, within the depression, terminates in an opening (13), arranged in a recessed manner with relation to the front face of the external cap (2), such that said opening is outside the contact area of a finger.

  • Patent number: 6868978
Abstract: The invention relates to a closing cap for infusion and transfusion bottles. The inventive cap is provided with a flanged cap which encompasses a flanged neck of the bottle, secures a closing plug in the bottle and is provided with a middle recess that is closed by the middle region of a plastic lid in such a way that a ring zone (21) of the plastic lid (2) supports the edge of the middle recess from behind. At least one radially extending desired folding line (I) of the plastic lid (2) is embodied. Said line is formed by thinning the material. The aim of the invention is to indicate when said cap has been used. In an advantageous embodiment, the desired folding line (I) opens into a circumferential weakened area (S) that extends at a radial distance (y) from the center (z) of the plastic lid (2).

  • Patent number: 6241112
Abstract: A stopper for sealing containers for pharmaceutical liquids, especially infusion bottles, which stopper has a collar, which projects into the neck of the container; an edge, which rests on the neck of the container; and a puncture area, enclosed by the edge and the collar, the stopper being held on the neck of the container by a protective cap of metal or plastic, characterized in that the puncture area (3) is designed to have such elasticity and flexibility with respect to the edge (9) and the collar (6) that, after the stopper has been inserted into the neck (4) of the container, the puncture area bulges slightly outward; and in that, after the puncture needle (15) of an infusion kit (16) has been inserted into the stopper, the puncture area bulges down into the neck (4) of the container.

  • Patent number: 5647494
Abstract: A tear-off safety closure is described in particular for ensuring authenticity and for additional sealing of a bottle-shaped container containing especially pharmaceuticals which is already closed by a disk-shaped or plug-shaped sealing element. The cap surface and the closed flange-shaped jacket of the closure enclose the sealing element and the rim of the container neck which has an outwardly projecting ridge. The closure has a tear-out part which can be detached to expose the surface of the sealing element, e.g., for piercing with a hypodermic needle. The jacket has retaining devices which are arranged on its inner surface at a distance from its lower edge and which engage under the lower edge of the ridge. The closure is produced from plastic in its entirety and so as to form one piece, in particular from thermoplastically deformable plastic such as polypropylene or polyamide.
