  • Patent number: 4677732
Abstract: An apparatus for receiving a plurality of loose electrical components comprises a receiver having at least one end for receiving and holding the loose components. A conveyor is provided proximate the one end of the receiver for conveying the components one by one from the receiver to provide an output flow. The conveyor means includes a generally continuous arcuate conveyor member having an axis extending generally parallel to the one end of the receiver, the conveyor member being rotatable about the axis and being axially separate into two grooved axial end sections, with one grooved axial center section therebetween. The center section is adjustable with respect to the two end sections to permit registry of center section grooves with the end section grooves. The center section grooves are of different sizes with the number of center section grooves of each size corresponding to the number of end section grooves.

  • Patent number: 4573501
Abstract: An apparatus for cutting and forming leads of electronic parts to desired shape comprises a main body including a feeder, a cutter, and a former, and a hopper attached to the body close to the feeder. The hopper includes a received with aprons, a belt conveyor arranged adjacent to the aprons and operated by belt wheels on shafts, a pair of covers having guide and straight portions, and a pair of guides located near the conveyor. The feeder includes one pair each of toothed feed wheels and outer feed wheels mounted on a countershaft. The cutter includes one pair each of guide holders and the inside cutting edges with their edges extended beyond the dedendum circles at the outer feed wheels. The former includes one pair each of bender holders and benders outside, both mounted on the cutter shaft. Each bender has a leaf spring wide enough to cover the periphery, from the dedendum circle to the tooth tops, of the associated fed wheel so as to bend and form the lead in each tooth space of the wheel.

  • Patent number: 4001940
Abstract: This invention pertains to an elastic positioner apparatus on which is mounted, stretched and maintained, in an expanded open position, elastic bands as used in orthodontics. In particular, this apparatus is an elastic positioner which is easily manipulated and on which the expanded elastic bands may be manipulated to maintain arch wires in position on retaining clips mounted on teeth. In another application of use the apparatus may be used to mount elastic bands mounted on teeth so as to expand tooth spacing.

  • Patent number: 3986265
Abstract: This invention discloses an orthodontic tool for removing brackets fixed to teeth by an epoxy material and the residue material after removal of the brackets. This tool has prying and scraping jaws in which sharpened forward edges on the jaws are adapted for insertion behind the bracket and into the epoxy by which the bracket is applied. After the bracket is removed the epoxy may be scraped from the face of the tooth by the sharp front edges of the jaws of the tool. In addition to the jaw configuration of the tool, as depicted, there is also provided a molded plastic cap which is removably mounted upon one of the like jaws to permit positioning of this jaw upon the top of a tooth to provide a support against which the scraping or prying force action of the other jaw is moved. This plier is designed to remove the bracket and epoxy residue from the face of a tooth without damage to the tooth.
