Patents Assigned to Hepco Slide Systems Limited
  • Patent number: 8833263
Abstract: A track system includes a track 1 and one or more carriages 10 having bearing wheels engaged with the track such that the carriages can travel along the track. Each carriage has a single bearing 12 engaged with the inner side of the track and a pair of bearing wheels 13, 14 engaged with an opposite side of the track. The width of the track between the two sides varies such as to maintain a tolerance better than 0.05 mm between the bearing wheels and the respective sides of the track. The load capacity of the carriage can be increased and centred by making the single bearing 12 larger than the other two bearing wheels 13 and 14. The track 1 may be machined in one piece, optionally with an integral base plate. In another embodiment the track has spaced inner and outer sections with a rack engaged by a drive pinion mounted on the carriage between the two sections.

  • Patent number: 4887915
Abstract: A one-piece metal mounting device for an adjustable or eccentric bearing of a precision slide system has a spigot forming a journal for the bearing and lateral extensions one of which has an elongate through bore for receiving a hexagon headed adjusting bush and the other has a cylindrical through bore for receiving a screw. The bush also receives a screw, both of which pass into blind threaded holes of a machine bed of the slide system. The device is mounted on the bed and adjusted in a plane parallel to the plane of the bed by adjustment of the bush.

  • Patent number: 4815863
Abstract: A journal for a bearing of a precision slide system comprising a support having a blind bore with connecting means in the form of a screw or bolt adapted to secure the support in the journal having a head of complementary shape to a rebate of the journal, and means to bind the journal and screw or bolt together. The blind bore has a rebate therein and the screw or bolt is adapted to be accommodated in the rebate and adapted to connect the bearing and support whereby there is a substantially flush surface across the support and connecting means. The bore has a female thread and the rebate has a frusto-conical shape, and is carried by a ball race of the journal, which ball race is mounted on a second one (FIG. 1), which in turn rests on a nut, the support passing through the nut to be secured to a base or machine plate (FIG. 5). The bearing is formed of two vertically (as shown) mounted wheels which form a 70.degree. V-groove for receiving the edge of a slide of the system.
