Abstract: A thread-tapping screw (11) has a thread (21) extending, starting from the screw shaft free end (15), at least along a portion of the shaft length and a height of which constantly decreasing toward the free end (15) of the shaft (12), and a plurality of cutting bodies (26, 36, 46, 56, 66) formed of a material having a greater hardness than hardness of the thread (21), located in recesses (24) formed in the thread (21) and opening radially outwardly and having, respectively, a radial outer profile (27, 37, 47, 57, 67) projecting, at least partially, beyond the thread and a height (A, B, C, D, E) of which decreases toward the free end (15) of the shaft (12) stepwise.
Abstract: A pneumatic percussion mechanism for a hand-held power tool includes a percussion piston (23) displaceable in a guide tube (21) for applying impacts to an anvil (24), a driving member (22) reciprocating in the guide tube (21) for driving the percussion piston, and an air spring (25) for transmitting a driving torque from the driving member (22) to the percussion piston (23) and directly switchable on and off by the anvil (24).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a combustion-engined setting tool for driving fastening elements such as nails, bolts, pins and the like in a constructional component and including a fuel source (11), a fuel conduit (12), from the fuel source (11) to the combustion chamber (13), at least one metering device (30) arranged in the fuel conduit (12) between the fuel source (11) and the combustion chamber (13). The setting tool further includes a control device (20) for operating the metering device. The metering device (30) is formed for metering out fuel in form of a n-number of discrete separate portions, with a volume of separate portions being preset and remaining constant.
