Abstract: The photoreactor comprises a tube bundle (10) made up of numerous capillary tubes (11) through which a reaction medium flows. The tubes (11) are transparent. Solar radiation or artificial radiation acts upon the reaction medium for effecting a photochemical or photobiological treatment. The inlet chamber (12) connected with the tube bundle (10) comprises a flow distributor (16) which distributes the reaction medium from the fluid inlet (15) to the tubes (11). The flow distributor (16) allows for a smaller volume of the inlet chamber (12). The reactor volume, which is not irradiated, is thus reduced, and the efficiency of the rector is enhanced.

Abstract: The invention relates to a digital burette having a manual drive for suctioning and applying an adjustable dose volume, a gear unit connected downstream and a digital display device controlled thereby for setting the dose volume. The control comprises an incremental encoder which is functionally connected to the gear unit, at least one sensor for detecting the signals produced by the incremental encoder and a processor connected to the sensor and the display device for calculating the dose volume corresponding to the number of signals. The incremental encoder is, in particular, a sector disc with two groups of sectors of different magnetic field strength disposed alternately in the peripheral direction of the sector disc. A sensor detects the number of turns of the sector disc.
Abstract: In a pipette device comprising at least one pipette channel and at least one pump means, which cooperates with the pipette channel for suction and dispensed delivery of liquid, the pump means consists of two electrically driven micropumps each having one suction-side and one pressure-side connection, one of which is connected to the pipette channel via its suction side and the other via its pressure side. The pipette device thereby acts as an air cushion pipette and is preferably provided with current via solar cells.
