  • Patent number: 11953317
Abstract: A reference core position calculation device 100 that calculates a reference core position of an elevator shaft in which an elevator is to be installed includes a measurement unit 101 and a calculation unit 112. The measurement unit 101 measures a dimension of each portion of the elevator shaft. The calculation unit 112 calculates portion dimension values of the elevator shaft based on the reference core position and the dimension of each portion measured by the measurement unit 101. When the reference core position is a first reference core position, the calculation unit 112 determines whether portion dimension values of the elevator shaft calculated based on the first reference core position satisfy a predetermined specification.

  • Patent number: 6742634
Abstract: To accurately detect a trouble of a magnetic brake (2) by eliminating any effect of a temperature of a location at which an elevator is installed, a temperature sensor (3) is arranged to measure a temperature of the magnetic brake (2). When an armature (2c) has been attracted responsive to a brake release command, the temperature of the magnetic brake is measured as a first temperature, and before the armature returns responsive to a brake actuation command, the temperature of the magnetic brake is measured as a second temperature. The first and second temperatures are compared with each other. When a result of the comparison between the first and second temperatures is determined to be greater than a predetermined value, the magnetic brake (2) is determined to have been locked and hence, to have developed a trouble.

  • Patent number: 6701727
Abstract: A management apparatus and a management method which can forecast inspection time before the lowering of performance or the occurrence of abnormality in a heat source unit for an air conditioner are provided. The operating condition of the air conditioner heat source unit is monitored by a central monitoring unit of the management apparatus connected to the heat source unit through an information communication network. Operating data of the heat source unit is analyzed so that the lowering of the performance and the advance of the degree of abnormality in the heat source unit are diagnosed. Thus, the loss of a user caused by the failure stop or the performance lowering of the heat source unit is reduced. Further, the load on the heat source unit is grasped by the central monitoring unit so that remote central control is carried out to make the operating cost minimal.

  • Patent number: 6390270
Abstract: In an escalator having a plurality of steps connected to an endless chain and moved along an endless path, a rotation locus of step forward wheels at both end portions is shifted toward end portions of the escalator relative to a rotation locus of the chain. A forward wheel guide track for guiding forward wheels of the steps is arranged, at both end portions of the escalator, so that a straight distance between forward wheels of two adjacent steps, which distance tends to be shortened by the chain following an arc at both end portions, is extended. By such constructions, interference between adjacent steps hardly occurs even if the rotation diameter of the steps at each end portion of the escalator is made small. Therefore, the rotation diameter of the steps can be made smaller than a conventional one and the escalator thickness (depth) can be made small.

  • Patent number: 6263696
Abstract: In an absorption type chiller heater, a generator is heated in order to heat a refrigerant-mixed solution to generate refrigerant vapor. This heating is generally carried out by causing high-temperature combustion gas to flow in contact with heat transfer fins, which are provided on the periphery of the generator. The aforesaid burner uses a burner of liquid-fuel combustion structure to produce a longer flame as compared to that of a gas burner. The extremity of the lengthened flame coming into contact with the heat transfer fins can cause problems such that the fins are locally overheated to burn out. In this view, the present invention arranges a flame buffer plate between the liquid fuel burner and the heat transfer fins and provides a curved flame channel. This forms a curved flame, whereby the flame, despite of its great length, is kept from its extremity coming into contact with the heat transfer fins.

  • Patent number: 6098756
Abstract: In each of oil-retaining sheets, an end edge and side edges of a recess are separated from each other. The side edges are formed into tongue portions covered by first anti-wear meshes which prevent loosing of the side edges, and these tongue portions are maintained in sliding contact with their corresponding side walls of a guide portion of a guide rail. The end edge is covered by a second anti-wear mesh which prevents loosing of the end edge, and the second anti-wear mesh is maintained in sliding contact with an end wall of the guide portion. A gap is also formed to maintain the tongue portions and the second anti-wear mesh out of contact with each other.
