The support section includes a pivot support portion and a slide support portion. The pivot support portion supports the cutting section such that the cutting section is pivotally moved toward and away from the base section. The slide support portion slidably supports the pivot support portion to move the cutting section in a sliding direction that is in parallel with an upper surface of the base section and orthogonal to an axial direction of a rotational axis of the saw blade. The guiding mechanism is configured to guide a movement of the cutting section in the sliding direction in accordance with a pivotal movement of the cutting section toward the base section. The guiding mechanism is provided in association with the cutting section and the slide support portion.

    Abstract: Front feet are provided at a lower part of a cutting-machine main body via a foot holder. Furthermore, a slider positioned on a front side relative to the front feet is provided at the lower part. When a workpiece to be cut is to be cut by a blade, the cutting-machine main body is tilted so as to let the blade go down. When the cutting-machine main body is tilted, a state where the front feet are in contact with the workpiece is switched to a state where the slider is in contact with the workpiece. Then, by moving the cutting-machine main body forward while sliding the slider on the workpiece, the workpiece is cut by the blade. In the cutting operation, the front feet can get away from the workpiece. Therefore, damage of the front feet can be prevented, and the running cost can be suppressed.

    Abstract: In an engine including a cooling fan provided at one end of a drive shaft to cool the engine, a muffler is attached such that a longitudinal direction thereof coincide with a direction of gravity, and a muffler accommodating chamber is formed by a muffler cover. A portion of cooling air generated by the cooling fan is introduced into the muffler accommodating chamber so as to cool the muffler. At the muffler accommodating chamber, a cooling air outlet is provided at an upper end of a cooling passage, such that the waste heat of the muffler is discharged from the cooling air outlet to the outside during the stop of the engine. A cooling air inlet is disposed below the cooling air outlet such that the cooling air flows from the lower side to the upper side of the muffler.

The adaptor has an FET that is switched at a predetermined duty of a predetermined frequency. The battery pack and the electric tool are connected or disconnected to or from each other by the switching operation, thereby dropping the output voltage of the battery pack. When the detected voltage is out of a predetermined value range, it is judged that the overcurrent or overdischarge has occurred. Then, the FET is turned off to stop the electric tool.
