Patent number: 11953539Abstract: An arrangement for monitoring the operation of a machine intended to be tracked by a real-time locating system comprises: a tag intended to be arranged on the machine, the tag being configured to generate a wireless tag signal allowing determination of a position of the tag; and at least one detector intended to be arranged on the machine, the at least one detector being configured to detect at least one characteristic of a magnetic field generated by the machine. Detection of the at least one characteristic is indicative of the machine being operative. The arrangement makes it possible to obtain a detailed understanding of how the machine is used in a cost-effective manner. A real-time locating system comprising such an arrangement and a method for monitoring the operation of a machine are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2019Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: HITECH & DEVELOPMENT WIRELESS SWEDEN ABInventors: Örjan Fritz, Åke Jernberger, Pär Bergsten

Patent number: 11507132Abstract: A method for determining a clock drift comprises determining a drift of a clock relative to a reference clock based on two signals from the reference clock and a further signal. The method can be used for time synchronization and is suitable for implementation on resource-constrained devices. An anchor point implementing the method and a real-time locating system comprising such an anchor point are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2019Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: HITECH & DEVELOPMENT WIRELESS SWEDEN ABInventors: Anders Grahn, Pär Bergsten

Publication number: 20220129843Abstract: An arrangement for detecting a load carried by a carrier intended to be tracked by a real-time locating system comprises: a tag intended to be arranged on the carrier, the tag being configured to generate a wireless signal allowing determination of a position of the tag; and at least one detector configured to detect the load carried by the carrier and to generate a wireless signal indicative of at least one of whether or not a load is carried by the carrier and an amount of load carried by the carrier. The arrangement allows for accurate carrier utilization tracking in a cost-effective manner. A real-time locating system comprising such an arrangement and a method for detecting a load carried by a carrier are also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2019Publication date: April 28, 2022Applicant: Hitech & Development Wireless Sweden ABInventors: Anders GRAHN, Åke JERNBERGER, Pär BERGSTEN
