Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for increasing the whiteness stability of fluorescent whitening agent(s) (FWA) included in surface-treatment size/coating slip for paper and of the surface-treatment layers formed thereof. The method is characterized in that sorbitol is charged to the size/coating slip as a carrier.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for production of p-cymene from cyclic monoterpenes in the presence of an Fe(III)-salt as a catalyst. In particular it relates to a method for production of p-cymene from cyclic monoterpenes containing high levels of sulphur, such as crude sulphate turpentine. The method can be performed as two different, subsequent processes for the isomerization and oxidation reactions, or in a single process wherein these reactions take place at the same time.

Abstract: The present invention relates to security paper (1) formed from base paper provided with a surface treatment layer on at least one side of the paper, characterized in that the layer thickness locally deviates markedly from the layer (10) thickness of the remaining dominant paper surface, and in that the local deviation forms distinctive mark (2) in the paper. The present invention also relates to a method and to a device for producing surface treated security paper.
Abstract: The present invention provides a cost-effective manner of adding hydrophobic zeolite to packaging material for preventing or reducing the transmission of order-influencing and taste-influencing substances to the package contents, wherein a hydrophobic zeolite in powder form is added to the packaging material in conjunction with or immediately after applying printing ink and/or varnish to the packaging material.
