    Abstract: The agrotextile comprises a porous sheet (1), permeable to air and water and equipped in the direction of its longest dimension with added side strips (2, 3) intended to be buried in the soil for fastening the whole to the ground. The sheet is of woven, knitted or nonwoven structure, while the side strips are made of a sheet of flexible and smooth plastic, of closed structure, which does not adhere to the earth. Applications as a protective or forcing cover, as mulch and as a blanching sheet.
